Dan Meylink, while representing did not even try to present my case well or get all the facts. He rarely responded to my text messages, he never prepared me for court. I had never been to court before. He treated my case as if it did not matter because he was appointed to my case by the court. I am t...hankful and lucky I did not go to trial with him as my lawyer because I'm sure i would've lost. Once I got a new attorney, he did what any good lawyer would do and my case was eventually thrown out. Dan is not thorough and doesn't really care... Or atleast about my case.

Dan Meylink came to my aide when I felt completely lost and out of my element in regards to the legal system. I had never been in the trouble that I was facing, and was completely lost. Dan Meylink came on board with my pending case when I felt completely helpless. I guess I didn't realized I needed... help until he just stepped in with guidance, support and confidence that it was all going to be ok. He immediately set me at ease and gave me the reassurance that he was there to get things done the way I fairly deserved. He didn't question, second guess or even worse, show any arrogance. Atty. Dan Meylink has helped me in the past, and is right now helping me again. Dan keeps me well informed, is always there and on-time for court appearances, and he's affordable. After being charged with a misdemeanor, the DA started asking me about other crimes in West Allis. Even though I'm a hu...sband, father and full-time worker, I do have a checkered past; so, I panicked, knowing I'm suspected of crimes I know nothing about. Dan took care of that, and is doing a great job job on my misdemeanor. This is an attorney you can TRUST, no double-talk.

The only reason Dan did not get 5 on all of the ratings is that I have yet to complete my case. Dan has been understanding, and open with me the entire way. I feel he has been in my corner since the beginning. When he was entered as my attorney, he came to see me the same day in Waukesha County Jail,... were I was sitting on a probation revocation, mostly based on this case! I want to add that I'm not a petty criminal. I have made mistakes, but have been a productive member of the community! That was huge for me, as I fired the public defender for not seeming to care about my case. We will be going to trial soon and hope we win, I have a very grey area case in my opinion, and didn't understand the law that they are accusing me of breaking to begin with. Dan has been honest, upfront, and open to what I felt needed to be done so far. I only wish this could be settled already, without criminal accusations, but that obviously is not Dan's fault. Dan has given the State all the offers that we wanted to be made, and he shared with me the State's response. Dan met with me at his office to go over the case in general. I would highly recommend Dan as your attorney. He is likable, and at the same time firm when it deems necessary so far!
