Speaking based only on MY experience-Revocation; I would not hire him again

Although Chris represented me over 2 yrs ago I write this after being directed here because it was tagged with my current attys. I was jailed due to alleged Supervision violations. My daughter contacted him to represent me in the Revocation Hearing. Before my daughter provided the fee he responded... to her within hours. After the fee was paid she had a VERY difficult time getting hold of him. He spoke with me one time via the regular visitors video which has a time limit. Our time abruptly ended leaving me with questions and uneasiness. I explained this to my daughter(who is very diligent) and she attempted to inform Chris. She did not receive a response from him before my hearing. I spent many nervous days feeling like I was going into the arena totally alone and unprepared. I had no idea if Chris was even gong to attend. The day came. I was summoned to the hearing room. No Chris. Just at the time the hearing was scheduled to start Chris appeared. I gave him a 'what's happening' look/comment. He asked the Law Judge if he would excuse himself so he could speak with me. The judge did so with the comment, 'you should have spoken to your client before, not at the time this hearing is scheduled to start.' Clearly the Judge was put out. We talked very briefly. I feel he totally ignored my unease and left me to endure many days of anguish by not responding to my daughters pleas. It felt like my case was just a quick stop in, that he was unprepared. Even that could have been forgiven if he had just responded to my daughter, acknowledged he heard that I was needing to speak with him. But he didn't. After seeing other negative posts on here and seeing Chris's responses I expect him to say something is wrong with my memory or I am distorting facts. Please see I am stating the facts as they happened and how his lack of contact(..ONE... 30 minute video visit which was cut off in midsentence) left me emotionally drained. I leave it to others to read this, see his response and decide for themselves. Outcome: I was revoked for 2 yrs. However I did appeal this with Chris and the time was reduced to 1 year. But the distress over his lack of contact and unpreparedness for the initial hearing stays with me as well as wondering what the initial outcome might have been if we had discussed things. Surely my unease would have been much less, as well as my daughters had he responded to her/me after receiving his money.

Literally nothing in this comment is accurate. I was able to get the client's sentence reduced from two years of prison down to one year--a major victory.

Christopher’s comment:

“I fought for a father to see his children, who were being withheld from him illegally. I brought a motion to enforce placement, on the theory that even without a specific order in place, no parent should simply conceal her children from the father. The mother backed down, but not before her lawyer reported my motion to the Bar. The Bar disagreed with my creativity here, claiming that only specific placement orders can be enforced. Sad.”
