Attorney Linda Vanden Heuvel did a wonderful job representing me in my divorce. She is extremely knowledgable and she looked out for my best interests throughout the process. Linda was very supportive and always available to answer my questions and keep me up to date on the case as it progressed. ...She knows the law and made sure that I was able to get a very fair settlement. As a individual who started this as pro se (refused to spend money on an assumed given right to a child) to hiring a lawyer who rarely responded, to then hiring Linda. She is worth every penny and then a lot more; especially factoring in the fact she responds to the weekend / late night placement questions / concerns that arise last minute. Linda will look out for your interest as well as your child and will call a spade a spade. I would never bet against her and recommend her to any parent dealing with a custody matter.

Linda got a lot of the facts of my case incorrect during my hearing, was completely unresponsive when I reached out through email and text, and filed all of the motions weeks late. Working with her has been a TERRIBLE experience and I would not recommend her to anyone, ever. When I asked for the rema...inder of my retainer back after a month and a half of work, she ignored me and continued to try to drain my retainer so she could take as much money as she could for as little work as possible after I asked to cancel her services. I’d give her 0/5 if I could. My wife and I reconciled, and to be honest, I wish I would have had my wife’s attorney, who was highly capable. Don’t listen to her bs reply to this, because you can see how she attacks those who have grievances with her ineptitude and lack of professionalism. Seriously, find a different lawyer, especially if you value your money.

I wish I had researched her prior to hiring. Linda doesn't work with you or for you. I was being billed for unanswered emails/calls, belittled and even yelled at in her office on multiple occasions. I now know of others who have used her and said the same. She was never concerned with my case and I n...ever felt like a valued client. I was hardly updated on the process and each time I called to check on what was happening, I talked to a staff member who left her a message and I was charged for basically getting no answer to my question. Because Linda did not read through my MSA and advise me to do or not do some things, I am now battling with my ex on many items and will have to take him back to court. She is the expert and she was to advise me, but all she did was let me down. She wasn't going to fight to get me the most money for maintenance, I had to pay a divorce financial advisor to figure out the most I could get. Linda was going to let the judge decide. My ex-husband and I were trying to work things out between us to come to an agreement so we didn't have the judge decide everything and Linda did not like that. I feel that when she found this out, she stopped working for me. She never looked out for my best interest. I wasted 15 months and way too much money on her dragging her feet and being absolutely worthless. Put your money into a lawyer that will do the right thing not one that cares more about getting paid.
