This review is incorrect. The first date I received a call was on August 22nd, and the call was returned within 24 hours for a consultation. Second, I never called your son a name. Once he started yelling at both of us, I suggested he needed an attitude adjustment or he was going to dig a deeper hole in his case. And finally, I am definitely not all about the money. I am about winning. I will give honest opinions to help us get there, and your son didn't want honesty-he wanted to dictate. Unfortunately, my work does not allow me to simply tell people what they want to hear; often, tough conversations, with unwelcome news, have to be had. My clients deserve honesty about both the law and their case, so that they can make informed decisions about their future. The law is not filled with rainbows and sunshine. I believe my clients deserve the respect of my honesty and objective assessments based upon my education, training, and years of experience, as I would in their shoes. The last part of our discussion was to indicate I had no interest in representing your son; in part, it became apparent to me professional, even if tough, conversations and rational discussions about his case and my advice to achieving the best outcome possible would be next to impossible, as anyone who would treat his mother as he did; believed his tone, volume, and choice of language, particularly in a consultation, was appropriate; and was uninterested in professional advice, even when freely given, was going to make a working relationship nearly impossible. So, I declined to assist your son further.

Recommend!!

I brought Eric on to handle my daughter's OWI case and he handled everything seamlessly and efficiently. And his response to calls, texts and emails was immediate every time, which I considered important when going through something like this. I highly recommend Eric Tindal!

Grateful

Eric and Andrea are both well-versed, vastly knowledgeable, and experts in their field. They both are a wonderful team who advised us during one of the toughest moments in our lives. Their advice and guidance provided us with comfort and security as they fought for our justice and peace. My wife and ...I are grateful for the work they do, and we would not have picked anyone else to help defend us

Innocent Defense Case

Eric was super helpful in clearing my name under a false allegation. Him and his team worked well together to put together thoughtful case reviews and stuck to the facts while proving my innocence. In a time of social injustice and cancel culture mentality, Eric was able to not only clear my name but... provide support while fighting the inaccurate claims against my name.

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2020.

Reprimand issued in IA, 2020

updated on 03/24/2021

This means the attorney did something wrong, but the Bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Eric’s comment:

“These two cases are related in that both involve my failure to timely file briefs. The case can be found at this link: https://www.iowacourts.gov/iowa-courts/supreme-court/supreme-court-oral-argument-schedule/case/20-0005. I have learned from this experience and modified my practice accordingly. This did not involve any form of dishonesty and the court makes clear I am a well qualified trial lawyer.”

  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline
