Shawn took care of the things I would have had no idea on how to do in the court. He pushed the hearing to a later date so I could focus on finishing up finals and finish my semester strong. And he also put in effort to dismiss the case which was bull crap to begin with, and for that I am very gratef...ul. If you need a lawyer who will work in your best interest I recommend Shawn 10/10 times

I reached out to Shawn after trying several law offices in Iowa City who weren't interested or didn't see my case as high priority meriting representation. Shawn was the only one who was willing to take it on as I didn't actually live in Iowa City at the time so he had to represent me completely. I...t was not a high profile charge or case, very minor charge on the spectrum of things, and he followed up on my behalf until the case was first dismissed and then eventually expunged from my record. He did both of these things FREE OF CHARGE. That is the massive positive for me. I wouldn't expect that of him, but as my case was a pretty small and I didn't live in Iowa City, he just cleared it all up for me with 100% positive result (imagine, not just dismissal but then also expunged from my record!) and at absolutely no cost. I don't think you can hope for better than that. I would add, however, that I had a spotlessly clean record, not even parking tickets, so I think that helped! As such, I would definitely recommend him. I agree with other reviews who said catching him over e-mail and/or phone is tough, but with some persistence I always got feedback - and always got positive feedback. I would recommend him for sure.
