He gets it done

John has helped me with a couple cases and he is phenomenal. I would not go to anyone else with important matters and I will recommend him to anyone. He was recommended by a friend to me. You men that want help with custody, here's the guy!

Do your homework before even thinking about contacting John

John lives up to the bad taste that lawyers can leave in your mouth. We agreed on a price and payment plan and all he wanted was more, more, more. He eventually dropped the case because we wouldn't cough up more money. He was knowledgeable with the case, but just would not work with us. If you have a... lot of money and can pay the $5,000 or $10,000 fee in cash up front, then by all means sign a contract with him and he will represent you well. We should have just did this because we ended up settling for a court appointed attorney who didn't know jack about the law. The appointed attorney made the judge mad and he changed his mind and gave jail time. Thanks a lot!!!

Top Notch Legal Representation

I had John represent me in a DWI case some time ago. From what I personally observed from his handling of my case, he knows the legal system and the intricacies of the Kent County Court system as well as (better?) than any attorney in GR. Through his diligence, I received a greatly reduced charge ...and paid minimal fines. His fees were also a fraction of what I would have paid another attorney elsewhere. Unfortunately, I know plenty of people that have been convicted of DWIs, and none of them have every had a better sentencing outcome OR paid as reasonable a fee as I did with John. Happily, I've stayed out of legal entanglements since that incident. But if I ever needed quality legal counsel in the GR area, I won't hesitate to seek John Conroy's help again.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
