Relocating to Rochester Hills, Michigan, Courtney pursued her passion for law at Wayne State University Law School, obtaining her Juris Doctorate in 1995. Married to George Jay Quist, a respected Kent County Circuit Court Judge, Courtney balances her professional life with a nurturing family environment. They have a son, Jonathan Quist, who recently graduated from Grand Valley State University and is set to pursue a law degree in Fall 2025, following in his parents' footsteps.
