Excellent Representation, Genuinely cares about her clients.

Trustworthy, caring, detail oriented, kind, patient, and tough as nails. Courtney Quist has every attribute you need for more than capable representation. Hard working, straight forward, lays things out with realistic expectations. Although I never dreamed I would need a divorce attorney, working... with Courtney made it less daunting. Be confident in hiring Quist Law. She will do right by you.

Incredibly satisfied!

I was very happy with Courtney representing me on my recent divorce case. Something no one should have to go through and something I was very unfamiliar with when I was forced to go through it. I came to her based on a recommendation from a colleague who is no longer practicing, when I became uncomfo...rtable with my representation early in my case. She provided a free consultation, during which I provided all details of my case, and she gave an honest assessment of the likely outcome and was confident to hit the ground running if hired, which she did. I'm so happy I switched to Courtney. Courtney is very prompt to respond to questions/concerns. She's very concise and honest, never building false hope or providing long-winded responses over the phone or email, that would occupy more of her, and my time, and add to the bills. She doesn't sugar coat things, even if it's not what you'd want to hear, which I appreciated. She pushed hard, and won several debates, when she felt she could gain and also made me very aware of the risks, and financial costs, involved with pursuing things she wasn't confident about. On several occasions she accurately predicted how a judge or opposing counsel might react to a situation after I presented her some facts and data. This allowed me to build a good trust and rapport with her early in our relationship. She's very conscious of not wasting her, and your, time and dollars. We only met when necessary, and due our mutual preparation, we stuck to business and completed meeting items in a timely manner. I felt her billing was fair and reasonable, not nickel and diming for every item and interaction. Many smaller items were pushed back to me, which I appreciated, as opposed to me paying her to figure out something I was more intimately involved with the details of, or could easily accomplish myself. This allowed her to focus on legal matters with my case and others, again utilizing her and my time/money better. Relative to previous counsel I commissioned at the start of the case, the billing was much more reasonable with Courtney. She must have worked off hours and weekends on my case, but I never saw extra charges for it. She even gave me a break on the final bill if I could zero out the balance relatively quickly. Last, but far from least, I loved her personality. Despite the sad circumstances of a divorce involving children, we were able to joke and laugh at times when working together. She balanced well between being very serious regarding certain matters and knowing when it was appropriate to lighten up the situation. I would highly recommend Courtney to anyone faced with a divorce or custody dispute.

I want to thank you for all the effort and hard work you put into my case. You put me into the hands of people I could learn to trust which is tremendously difficult for me. I also sorry for the ruff spots I put you through, the legal system was not my friend in the past. Thanks for staying with me, ... your soft soothing voice held me together enough to make it through.

**THE BEST ATTORNEY IN GRAND RAPIDS, MI**

I would HIGHLY recommend Courtney Quist to ANYONE seeking legal counsel, specifically in family court. She is incredibly passionate, knowledgeable, honest and thorough in everything she does. As my attorney in a difficult custody battle with my ex-husband, Courtney stayed patient with me every step o...f the way, all while keeping my best interest in mind. Unlike other attorneys I have worked with in the past, Courtney listened to ALL of my needs and concerns. She is personable and approachable, and extremely reputable with the Kent County Court. Courtney stayed dedicated to my case throughout the entire process, which ended in our favor. Courtney Quist is nothing short of an incredible attorney and human being. You will not regret having her on your side.

Child Custody & Change of domicile

I was referred to Courtney by a friend. Upon meeting her it was clear that Courtney has a strong understanding of the law and the legal system process. Courtney answered questions I didn't know I had, walked me through the process, and without giving any false expectations consistently delivered on ...her word. Courtney has been instrumental in this difficult process of child custody and change of domicile. Not only has she been an advocate for my son but for me as well. Courtney does not tell you what you want to hear, Courtney informs you of what you need to know. Courtney has been direct and forthcoming while compassionate. Because of Courtney 's experience she recognized potential future complications and strongly recommended an incredible therapist during our first meeting. My son is young and while there is no immediate threat to him physically there is still his emotional health that requires daily nurturing and confidence building. Under attorney advisement and court supervision my sons father and I were able to come to a mutual compromise at this present time, I am confident the results would not have been the same without Courtney's attention to detail in this matter. I am equally satisfied in knowing that Courtney successfully built in safety measures to the custody agreement to insure my son stay out of physical harm and if his emotional health is threatened to a certain degree of lasting damage the current agreement becomes moot. While I would have preferred all preference in the custody matter, I have a much better understanding of the law and the system in general due to Courtney's attention to our case. I will continue to use Courtney as counsel in all matters of family law and have such confidence in her judgement that I will also use her partner in all matters of estate planning.
