Non-Immigrant visa extension

PHILLIP is an outstanding immigration attorney. I visited his firm before finalizing him as my choice. He handled my visitor visa extension successfully. I was surprised when I got my result within 40 days of filing when the average time is more than 2.5 months. Getting an extension for B1 is only to...ugh when you don't have Curtis on your side. He was always available to clear my doubts. Sometimes I replied to my emails as early as 4 am. He is veru friendly with his clients. I really enjoyed working with him and always felt at ease. I strongly recommend Mr. Curtis' and his legal firm. Thanks a lot Mr. Curtis for making so easy.

Helped my wife get a visa when I thought it was impossible!

I needed to apply for a greencard for my wife who is a foreign national, and I was concerned about whether or not she would be eligible due to certain circumstances which I will omit here. I found Phil's immigration visa videos on Youtube. The videos, which were very informative and easy to unders...tand, showed me that Phil was an excellent communicator and well versed on immigration matters. I looked at a few other services but ultimately decided to give Phil a call. From the start, Phil put my concerns at ease. He was professional and patient with me, and never rushed me along during our phone talks when I had a great many questions. I feel like having Phil do our application was worth it. First, there is the feeling of 'ease' knowing that our application was in good hands -- the hands of a professional who has handled many, many cases like mine before. Some people choose to do the application themselves. I actually met someone in my community who tried to do that, and got themselves into a whole heap of un-neccessary trouble with immigration due to mistakes in the paperwork. Ultimately, those mistakes ended up costing them several times the amount they would have paid if they had gone with a pro like Phil, plus they had to get a signature from the Senator just to prevent deportation! Hearing stories like that makes me doubly assured that I made the right choice. Immigration is not something you want to do yourself. You really do need to find a pro, and let them do what they do best. I highly recommend Phil. He is kind, polite, patient, trustworthy, and RESPONSIVE! Thank you Phil, for putting my concerns at ease, and helping my wife get her Greencard so fast. We are very grateful to you. Regards, Eric T.

Greencard Success

After going it alone without a lawyer we came unstuck and USCIS we issued an order for me to go back to Australia. We hire Philip Curtis mainly because he had a money back guarantee, not that we were looking to save our money but we wanted someone who was confident in the law and knew what we were do...ing. Philips communication was great and kept us inform every step of the way. Even though his services cost money I believe he saved us money aswell as USCIS asked for information that was going to cost us another $500 and Philip basically issued them and order to proceed - he was great. Anyway I have my greencard now after about 4-5 months from engaging in Philip's service

very reliable lawyer

first i have to say that Philip has completely changed my opinion of "normal" lawyer. when i wanted to start to apply for my green card, i sent tons of emails to different lawyers that i could find online. some of them "kindly" replied me with some kind of standard answear telling me that i have to p...ay however much money to further discuss about my case. i was pretty upset because i wasnt enough sure if i even had a real case (i could go back home after my stay). then he replied me almost the next day i sent him the email, use red color to mark all the quesitons i had. after having known better about my situation i signed up his service which turned out to be VERY useful for me. later on, he helped me step by step professionally and patiently. im the kind of person who likes to fully participate on my case, he would always reply my email asap and send me some links with very valuable information. in the end, i got my interview within 3 months (which i have heard to be about 6 months). and of course, not a single problem for my documents. i just wanna say that if i know anyone who needs legal help about immigrantion, i would personally recommend Philip because i KNOW he is a very responsible lawyer that you can count on.

Att'y Phil Curtis: Highly Recommended

My wife and I retained Phil to solve a problem with her immigration status (green card) which happened after we incorrectly filed a wrong form with USCIS, and after our previous lawyer was *no help* at all (and at least partly responsible for the mistake in the first place, in my opinion) and we coul...dn't be happier with the result. PROBLEM SOLVED, great communication and fast responses all through the process, and Phil's flat-rate fee meant we knew what the total cost would be from the start, no financial surprises. Highly recommended.

"I have known Phil Curtis since law school and have grown to value and respect the professional he has become, applying both a strong grasp of the law and a practical, commons-sense straightforwardness often lacking in the legal profession. Phil has chosen to focus his strong skill set on helping families and workers live and work in the United States. He is an excellent immigration law attorney and the consummate professional attorney that I highly recommend and endorse."

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
