Lazy & past his prime

These days, Fishman is more of an expensive facilitator who delivers guilty pleas to the DOJ than he is a criminal defense attorney. At first, he shamelessly brags about his past courtroom brilliance, but eventually (after collecting most of what he said it would cost to go to trial) he will recant, ...stressing your dim 3% chances if you do go to trial. Your innocence and the DOJ's lack of evidence are suddenly moot. Billing will never be itemized, the way 99.9% of attorneys bill, or even verbally explained to you. He just feels entitled to it. You can plead guilty for free and save a ton of money, so if you aren't guilty or don't want to take a plea, hire a real attorney who will vigorously defend your case.

Steven Fishman useless attorney

Steven Fishman, is the laziest old man who just needs money but he doesnt want to do his job right. He charged us heavily like a trial fee but actually he threatned us to plea guilty and this jerk didnt do his job. He is the useless attorney i have ever had experienced in my life. At this age he shou...ld retire because he needs money without doing his job or helping customers/client. Big NOO to this attorney.

good advice

This counsel is lazy and dose not do his homework, a Former prosecuting counsel for the federal government he still works for the government stay away from him. Do not use him to defend your dog unless you don`t like the dog.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
