David S Steingold

Born in 1953, David S. Steingold graduated with Honors from the University of Michigan in 1975. He obtained his law degree from Arizona State University in 1978. While in law school, David S. Steingold found his calling as a trial lawyer. He became president of the Moot Court organization and represented Arizona State University in several trial competitions.

Following law school, Mr. Steingold returned to his native home of Detroit, Michigan and began working for a prominent local criminal attorney, Neil H. Fink. Mr. Steingold set out on his own in 1982. He has been in continuous practice since that time, focusing primarily on criminal and civil litigation.

Over the years David Steingold won acquittals in dozens of significant state and federal trials and has represented individuals in several significant, high-publicity cases.

Amongst those cases was People v Parisi, in 1990. After successfully representing Mr. Parisi, who admitted burning down a crack house to protect his children, Mr. Steingold was featured in several legal publications and television shows, both national and local. He appeared on such shows as Geraldo, Sally Jessie Raphael, The Today Show and 60 Minutes. David Steingold has tried cases in jurisdictions throughout the United States, including New Jersey to Alabama, from Texas to Ohio.

The focus of his practice is in metropolitan Detroit, with a primary emphasis on trials in federal comi and Wayne County Circuit Court, Detroit, Michigan. The list of famous and infamous persons represented by David Steingold would be too long to mention. Most recently, he successfully defended Bobby Ferguson on federal fraud and firearm charges.

David S. Steingold also represents clients in complex civil litigation. He currently represents several local businesses, including Leonard Fountain Syrups.
