Avoid if SAHM

Consulted Sally in DV abuse/custody case. Sally quickly managed down my expectations, despite our having a fairly high level of combined assets. She gave me a very poor outlook for settlement and any future for myself and our children. I was informed I'd likely end up in poverty, and have a hard... time finding even a minimum wage job I got the feeling that being a SAHM was something she didn't respect or approve of and as a result didn't have much sympathy or concern. I left Sally's office terribly discouraged. Thankfully her viewpoint was not shared by the other lawyers I consulted. I don't doubt Sally's competence, just her motivation in advocating for SAHM's in high conflict cases.

Sincere support and professionalism during difficult times.

Sally Rutzky provided exactly what was needed for my divorce and custody case. She was reliable and forthright, keeping me informed about the details of the case and any potential hurdles. I felt comfortable venting my frustrations and worries to her, which she was able to handle with sincerity and c...alm. Having her listen and walk with me through the difficult months made it much easier to handle the court sessions and unexpected trouble. Her legal knowledge and professionalism, both in and out of the court room, created a strong sense of trust that proved well founded. Finally, she was excellent with my children and helped them feel they (and their mother) were in good hands throughout the entire process.

Divorce

Sally is a highly ethical, extremely knowledgeable and strategically oriented lawyer. Sally helped to keep me focused and calm when the rest of the world seemed in chaos. Sally was a strategic partner in helping me to meet my goals and at the same time educating me so that I was able to guide parts... of the process on my own (which turns out to be very empowering). Sally takes the time to listen to and answer my questions. She reminds me to focus on the big picture for the children and for me both in terms of relationships and money. Her extensive experience in working with the various people and organizations in the divorce world is obvious and very helpful to her clients. Sally understands both the financial and emotional journey that is involved with divorce which became clear to me as I gathered information to prepare for settlement conversations. Sally also introduced me to people/experts that I needed along the way such as a business lawyer and a forensic accountant as well as reminding me to take care of myself (something that is easily forgotten in the chaos). The preparation that Sally guided me through at the beginning of the process paid off in the end as I was able to settle my divorce sooner than was expected and I got the custody and monetary settlement that I was hoping for. I had no idea how valuable it would be to get this settled as soon as possible until the divorce was actually settled. As a client, it is easy to work with Sally. Without reservation, Sally is one of the best professionals with whom I have ever worked and now that the divorce is settled, I can really see the things Sally did to safeguard my future (things I didn't even know to pay attention to at the time).

"Sally always has her eye on what her clients truly need. Her focus on collaboration and problem solving is refreshing and well-needed in a field where parties can get entrenched in their positions and lose track of their goals. I absolutely endorse Sally."
