My elderly aunt decided at age 80 that she wanted to return to South Dakota where she grew up. She lived to be 96. I asked Attorney Burger to draw the needed documents so that I could continue to manage her banking and investments. He developed the needed documents, and we had zero problems m...anaging her life, eventual death, dealings with banks, nursing homes estate laws and the Veterans Administration., I lived in the Washington DC area, my daughter was at Harvard in Boston and our Aunt was in South Dakota. We had every document needed to manage her life and her ultimate death. My Aunt was a WW2 Veteran so even our dealings with the Veterans Administration had been thought of and planned for, His fees were most reasonable and there was never an instance when her interests were not protected. Even when a Greedy Nursing Home tried to make a false claim on her estate. We were prepared for it all. I could not have been more satisfied with his carefully researched and well-prepared estate plan.

I hired him to do a simple probate for my dad's estate, and he did next to nothing for nearly a year! He is a screamer, uses profanity, and is completely uncooperative. Probably why he works alone and there is never anyone in his waiting room! One of the biggest mistakes I have ever made was hirin...g this moron and letting this nonsense go on for so long! There has to be someone else practicing law who can help navigate this simple process. Today, I am going to find a new lawyer who will be civil to me when we speak, and possess a sense of urgency to get things done. This loser has to go!

Robert Burger represented me in probate court and the judge (Honorable Freddie G Burton, Wayne County, MI) informed me that he should have filed an appeal instead of presenting a brief to the court. He became more involved with the personal reprsentative than I requested and addressed issues that we...re nothing to do with the estate. Phone calls between the two attorneys concerned disagreements between my brother, sister and myself. They made it their business to attempt to referee personal matters. I didn't file an attorney grievance but I should have. Our estate matters were completed 04-06-08 so now I may pursue that aspect. I will write back when I do.
