12/6/18. This review has now been posted twice by this "Anonymous" former client. The review contains patently untrue statements and removal is being sought. It has been removed once for violating guidelines, and the reposed verbatim. If this individual fails to identify him or herself, it is impossible to adequately respond, as we are unsure who this person is, or even if they were an actual client. If this individual was convicted of a 3rd Felony DUI, they most likely went to jail or prison and would not likely be happy with any attorney who represented them only to go to jail. Unfortunately, Michigan law requires jail time for felony DUIs and depending on the individuals case, prison time is also possible and/or likely. In nearly 20 years of practice, we have never failed to appear in Court twice in two weeks, especially on the same case! This is simply impossible. Additionally I have never had a "court appointed attorney who was hanging around" appear on my or attorney Carlson's behalf. Myself or Seth Carlson work every case together and every client is told from the beginning that either of us could appear in Court. No client is ever promised representation by only one of us and we are very up front with each and every potential client of this fact. Attorney Seth Carlson has been working with the firm for nearly 10 years and is familiar with every client and every case. For this person to suggest that he was unfamiliar with the case while also stating that he was the only attorney who every came to Court is ridiculous. I would extend an invitation to this person to identify them self so that we may identify whether he/she was in fact a client and respond in more detail. Or, if they feel strongly enough that we did something wrong, I invite them to file a grievance with the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission. To date we have never been sanctioned in nearly 30 years of combined law practice. By reading all of the reviews here, you will readily see that this review is certainly not consistent with the many positive ones. We pride ourselves on providing effective and aggressive legal representation at fair prices. I believe we treat each and every client in a professional manner. Jeffery D. Maynard
