Milica Filipovic

My father was picked up by ICE during a deportation sweep. Met Milica Sunday night around 11:30 pm at a non profit organization volunteering her time to answer questions and help families who didn't know what was happening. What was the worst time in my family's life was one of the best moments of ou...r life! Milica is straight to the point kinda girl, from the beginning she told me that she was not interested in taking money from clients, her main interest was fighting for her clients rights! In just a few minutes she inspired trust, confidence, and peace of mind. She is absolutely a brilliant attorney, fantastic at her job and very smart. She always responds promptly to my questions, texts, emails and is very clear about all aspects of the application process and her fees are extremely reasonable. I have never met anyone like Milica, she read my fathers case as if she was studying for an exam, she knows his case inside and out, his file is over 2,000 pages! Not only is she an amazing attorney but she treats you like family. She visited my father on his birthday while in detention and said that no one should ever be alone on their birthday and countless times after that. She said that she wanted to go over things with him about his case and also just so she can see how he's doing physically. I know we have a tough fight ahead of us, but I know with Milica leading the way, she'll get justice for my dad! I can't find the right words to express my appreciation for her legal knowledge, dedication and attention to details. I know her title is attorney but to me and my family she's a Guardian Angel! She's young but will blow any experienced attorney outta the waters! Through the years with other attorneys, they have only cared about $$$ but Milica, she's momma bear protecting her cubs, she is a the voice for those that are kept silent! Milica took her time explaining and making sure that we understood what choices we had. I had the luck to get Milica as my attorney. She was definitely great, caring and helpful. She did more than what was required from her in order to get the things done in the best manner. I loved working with her. Before meeting her I was hesitate becauseI have a sensitive case and I'm kind of a pers...on who does not feel comfortable talking about private issues or answering personal questions. However, Milica showed me sympathy and discussed my case professionally, which was an immigration case. Indeed, Milica was a source of help and assistance. She was also knowledgable and explained things to me and answered all my questions. I think of Milica Not just as a great attorney but also as a great human being. For example, after the consultation meeting It took me a certain amount of time to provide the money that is needed in order to hire her and sign the contract. She was patient and understanding through the entire process. She did not let money determines every thing. She also did a research on my case before even me hiring her in order for her to see if I am eligible or not. So, she took the necessary time to determine whether I have a case or not and responded to me the next day. I was surprised of how much information she was able to collect which meant for me that she took my case and her work seriously. Although the consultation meeting was not free but when I return to the comapny and decided to hire Milica the 200 $ that I paid for the consultation meeting has been deducted from the payment ,so, they kept their promise to me and they were honest which was more important than money itself for me. When I met Milica I was at a point of my life where I felt desperate but she was a great attorney and found a way to make my case works even though I was late to take this particular step of filing a case. There were lots of hope and kindness when I worked with Milica. I hope her the best in her career and personal life. I know she did a lot to help in my case and worked even more hours and at emergency time she was super responsive and communicative just to let me feel relieved and better.
