Sam was hired for a juvenile case which was very serious. The “system” was confusing and overwhelming. It seemed like as parents we had zero rights and everyone else knew more about our kid than we did. We felt unheard and like we were stupid. Our child felt alone and that no one cared. From the fi...rst conversation with Sam, we were instantly put at ease. The case was explained very clearly to us and Sam was always available to answer questions or to just be an encouragement and comfort during the most stressful time of our lives. His advice for handling all of the minor details was timely and spot-on. It made us feel like we had some control over what feels like an out-of-control situation. When needing to hire a defense attorney, one can sure feel like a loser, alone and full of shame. Sam was honest and non-judgmental. He wanted to hear the whole story and really cared about his client. I’ve worked in the “system” for many years and know many attorneys, prosecutors, and police. Sam is far and away one of the kindest, genuine, and caring professionals I have ever met. He excels in knowing when to be those things for his clients and when to be tough and tenacious. He fought very hard in our case and achieved an outcome better than we expected. He is all business to those in the system who need to be handled with “business.” If you feel alone, overwhelmed, or afraid, I would say to give Sam a call and let him help you carry the burden. It’s at least worth the phone call. We honestly can’t say enough good things about him.

I hired Mr. Bennett last December to help with a sexual assault allegation From our very first conversation Mr. Bennett was helpful, professional and precise. Live in Northern Michigan (post case dismissed) no lawyer was willing to help and even disregard telling me there nothing you can do.( Have court order saying other wise as a new law had passed). I wouldn't give up and kept searching for a lawyer, I seen the ad for service all over Michigan. I called... and it was a great decision. Everything was done over the phone and emails, I got information that no lawyer ever explained, even after the case was dismissed. With in a few months the issue was solved, life can continue with less stress

I was arrested and put in jail for solicitation. Sam came to the jail and said he's here to help. I was overwhelmed with shame and remorse. Sam could see that and acted more like friend than a lawyer. Sam was incredibly encouraging and skilful in navigating the legal issues while also wanting to make... sure I got the deeper issues addressed. Sometimes it takes a brick in the head to get our attention to address compulsive, habitual hang-ups. On a side note, I was also able to find wonderful professional help for my sexual addiction which I am extremely grateful for. For me, I couldn't imagine trying to navigate all these legal/criminal issues without Sam. He has a heart and compassion for the broken-hearted. Thought I was hiring a lawyer and he turned out to be a friend
