RUN!!! I would not recommend Lorrie. Read all reviews on as many websites as possible.

RUN!!! I would not recommend Lorrie. Read all reviews on as many websites as possible. I am not into dirty politics. I just wanted a smooth custody case resolution for back child support and missed visitation. Lorrie didn’t handle this or get the proper message across which should of been handled in ...1 court appearance that it was all scheduled for cut and dry. She was supposed to fix my previous lawyers mistake which he would of showed up and handled for free but she insisted she would do it and she didn’t fix it because her message was scattered and not clear in court. She was more interested in calling the other party out which is childish and a waste of time. I don’t have time for games and nonsense. I could of handled this myself. I was not willing to drag out my case and fight like children so I worked things out myself and saved myself thousands of dollars by calling the court and getting the correct child support balance added to my case. I let Lorrie know in August 2021 right after that court date she represented me for that I didn’t need her anymore. She represented me 1 time in court. I was not impressed because the 2 things that I was there for didn’t get corrected or resolved in a manner that was appropriate. After fired, Lorrie continued charging and scheduling a court dates and replying to the court on my behalf. She even tried to change a court date to appease her schedule, trying to force her services on me. It is now November and hiring Lorrie for 1 court appearance has turned into 4 months of nothing but aggravation and wasted money. She is still harassing me with emails and her automated text messages. Let’s hope this time next year I’m not still being contacted. Charges- Lorrie scheduled a court date to withdraw from my case so that she could charge me more money instead of just filing the form to withdraw. Half of my $3500 retainer was used to organize my file which I could of done myself. She charged me to request paperwork from the court that I already had. She treated her assistant shitty in my presence which was a big red flag. She tried to charge me for a duplicate report that she entered the incorrect birthday for, I let her know that I wouldn’t be paying for her mistakes. Personal Note- I don’t think she has very many clients and for good reason, read the reviews. I’ve asked this office to stop contacting me and while I was in the hospital fighting a bad Covid infection for over a month, she continued to email me, harass, text me multiple times even after I asked not to be contacted anymore so that I could rest and recover. She clearly has way too much time on her hands and no clients to work for.

Worst attorney ever!

The experience I had with Lorrie was the worst experience of my life. I sought Lorries expertise to handle my divorce and she literally saw me as a walking piggy bank. She was ill prepared, scatter brained, unorganized and quite honestly extremely rude! At one point during the divorce process (as I ...was losing everything that I had) Lorrie told me to "stop my whining ". Seriously? My life was falling apart, I was nearly bankrupt, my attorney was dragging her feet somas to charge me extra money and on top of that she insults me?! Lorrie would frequently ignore messages (emails/voice mails). When I would contact her a second or third time she would charge me for the multiple messages that she never responded to. In addition, I would have correspondences with her secretary and I would give her every piece of paperwork that was requested only to receive an email or message that they had "yet to receive the info" that I submitted weeks prior. One day in particular I went into Lorries office and the "missing documents " were under a pile of papers on her desk!! Oh yeah, she charged me for that visit as well. I finally fired Lorrie near the end of my divorce because I couldn't handle her rude, condescending nature any longer. Of course she sent me a bill of what i still owed her. I paid her over 40,000 $ and I still owed her over 7,000$ for an incomplete divorce! I hired a new attorney and she completed Lorries disaster of a preparation. This new attorney said "Lorrie saw my income and utilized me as a payday!" My divorce should have been fairy simple, yet Lorrie insisted we needed to go to trial which would have cost me an additional 40,000$ per Lorrie! In short, I would never recommend, nor utilize Lorrie for any legal work. I would have been better off representing myself! If you are considering hiring Lorrie, DONT!! Feel free to contact me if you have any further questions. I'd be happy to discuss my nightmare of working with Lorrie with you. Lorrie is a perfect example of why society despises attorneys!!

Everything I asked for and more

I was at a point of losing my children to the Macomb County Friend of the Court guidelines for a non-custodial parent. I hired Lorrie very late in the process of my divorce. She clearly explained what could be done and proved that it could. I was only seeking joint custody as I know my children love ...their mother. I need my children in my life more than ever and was not trying to take their mother out of the equation. All through this painful process, my children always came first for me. Although I am now a part of a failed marriage and divorced for life, thanks to Lorrie, I don't have to be a part of not raising my children in a healthy environment. Thanks to Lorrie, I now have joint custody and our children are very well adjusted to the situation. I can only imagine what life would be like if I had not found Lorrie. She is very well educated as to the procedures for the court. I remember the first day in court she came out from a "discussion" red faced like she had just won a boxing match. I believe she actually did, although I didn't check for scars on her knuckles. She approached me and in the calmest voice and explained what was going to happen. And it did!!! What happens on the record in court is only a part of what actually happens in the courthouse. There are backrooms where all the battles are won and lost. Lorrie is a winner and I am so happy to have had her on my team! Even when an issue comes up regarding our recent divorce, and they do, I only have to mention Lorrie's name to my ex and things get resolved very quickly. I am amazed at what she was able to do for me during our case and her reputation continues to do for me still to this day. I have no doubt in my mind if I had not found Lorrie, my children would have had a much different future than they now can have. Thank you Lorrie! And to the professionalism that your staff. :-)
