Biography
The Flores Law Office consists of husband and wife attorneys, Jeff & Melanie Flores. After graduating from Law School in 1999 we were first admitted to practice in Minnesota.
After our daughter was born, we sought a better work-life balance. We knew and loved Madison, Indiana where Jeff has family. So, we moved to Madison where both our son, and the Flores Law Office were born in 2004.
We are a husband and wife team in every respect, from parenting to practicing law. We are as proud of The Flores Law Office, as we are of our children. Consequently, we're pretty choosey about the cases that we accept.
We want to make sure we are a good-fit for our clients. After-all, this is a personal service, and we form a bond with our client's. As a result, we have experienced no greater privilege than the work we do for them.
We divide the work load with Jeff doing primarily Personal Injury, Criminal and Family Law, while Melanie is our resident expert and practitioner in Bankruptcy, Disability & Estate Planning. However, we collaborate on all of our files, and each of us are well versed in all the substantive areas in which we practice; from Personal Injury to Estate Planning.

Liar
He's a liar. He sent in papers to the judge saying my daughter agreed to joint custody and she absolutely did not. Now her son is with a meth head and she has no idea where he is because they would not provide her with an address.

Replied last September 21, 2024This review appears to be from the mother of the adverse party, I have never met or spoken to her. The adverse party & my client recited their agreement under oath. The Judge approved it in court. Later the adverse party changed her mind, but was not allowed to rescind her agreement. This is all documented in the Court’s online docket.

Horrible lawyer
We hired Jeff for a family law matter. We were going for custody of my daughter. It took forever for him to respond! He talked a good game when we were deciding who to hire to help us. What an awful mistake! He didn't do anything for us and we wasted time, $2,000 and energy. In the court room he let ...

Replied last October 10, 2018The thing I cherish most about practicing law is the relationships I have with my clients. Helping them through the toughest obstacles in their lives bonds you to them. But, you can’t win them all. Regrettably, this client didn’t complain to me directly; and this forum is not the place for a detailed response. Especially since lawyers are prohibited from using case facts to defend themselves here. All I can say is, the client makes an important point, they didn’t lose custody, rather they didn’t win custody. Sometimes you just don’t have the facts to overcome the legal burden. Judges aren’t swayed by courtroom antics, rather facts. A simple truth, based on plenty of experience. I’m fine being judged on performance, because I’ve earned a reputation for it.
