Biography
I am a civil litigator nearly three decades of courtroom experience, who now focuses on mediation of all types of civil matters.
I spent much of my career litigating cases throughout Kentucky and Indiana. My early career was spent working for two prominent defense firms in Louisville, after which I decided to change the focus of my practice to the representation of the injured. Since that decision nearly 15 years ago, I have taken numerous civil cases to trial in both states with success and have represented individuals on BOTH sides - plaintiffs and defendants.
As a litigator, I was honored to have been named the Indiana Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2012 by the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, and I'm proud to have an "AV" rating with Martindale Hubbell. I have also been named a SuperLawyer continuously since 2011 by my peers for the state of Indiana.
My interest in mediation began after attending the Mediator's Training program at Northwestern University (Chicago) in 2014. Since that time, I have actively mediated civil cases in both Kentucky and Indiana, including numerous automobile injury cases, medical malpractice cases, eminent domain matters, commercial disputes and even a Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act claim. I have also been asked to arbitrate injury matters as well. I believe I have the legal experience and intrapersonal skills to be highly effective as a mediator and I enjoy the challenges presented in helping resolve cases.
My firm, Pete Palmer Law LLC was created to faciliate the mediation process, with comfortable office space, easy parking and an office designed specifically to accomodate mediations. I do travel, however, throughout Indiana and Ketnucky as requested to mediate civil matters at other locations.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis and basketball, following the Indiana University basketball team and travelling with my family.
