Martin is personable and professional until you pay a retainer and then loses all interest in the case. I was required to negotiate on my own behalf while Martin sat to the side offering more support to the other party than he did for me. The entire office lacked the ability to relay messages or pr...

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2012.
Public Reprimand issued in IN, 2012
updated on 03/12/2019A reprimand means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The State gives the lawyer a public reprimand in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior. Details of the infraction are made part of the public record.
“Regarding the public reprimand cited in 2012 from a November 2007 retainer agreement. Attorney McCloskey was disciplined for the use of the language "non-refundable retainer" as opposed to a "flat fee" or "refundable retainer." A retainer is a deposit towards services and must be earned. A flat fee agreement is an agreement to perform services for an agreed fee. Attorney McCloskey has adjusted all language in retainer agreements to clarify and separate retainer and flat fee agreements.”
