I hired Lorie because I had to appear before the board of nursing regarding several matters on my termination. Lorrie's goal was to have me do everything I possibly could to remedy the situation so the board would not do anything to me. Lorie was so helpful and took most of my worries and anxieties away! Her and her staff are eager to help and very patient. They are also on top of things reminding you of things that need done or emailed to them. Lorie prepared me on what to say and helped me practice. Lorie did have other clients, but she made it feel as if she had just me; giving me more time than I needed to add to things and ask questions. She also had a big packet of informative papers prepared to hand out in a folder. She even had a paper giving directions and familiar sites along the way for when the time comes to be at the board. She was a valuable help and well worth the cost.

Brown Law went above and beyond on helping me with my wrongful termination. Lorie assisted with getting the termination changed to a resignation. She also went with me to the nursing board and was by my side for my appearance. Brown Law was on top of every detail and kept me informed with very detailed instructions with each step of the way. We work very hard for our license I highly recommend hiring Brown Law to assist with any issues involved with your license! Lorie is not only an attorney but also a nurse. She encourages and empowers you when you are at a difficult time in your career! Thank you for everything!

Having Lorie beside me every step of the way was what I needed to get through a very difficult and confusing time. I recommend anyone to have a great lawyer such as Lorie to be there and guide you through the Nursing board process.

I was in need of a lawyer. I found out about my position last minute because I had moved and wasn't notified at once about having to appear. When I went to the board the day of my appearance, I decided I would need an attorney. The board is very tough to a lot of people as I saw that day. Lorie was able to take my case that day. My case was heard from Lorie. She was outstanding. She is well respected by the board as well. She had a lot of patience with me because I didn't understand the legal ramifications they were talking about. Her office did great also. Whenever I had a question about anything, someone was always willing to listen and help me out. I recommend Lorie Brown for anyone!!

Lorie explained everything up front with free advice. Lorie and her team remained in touch and kept me updated on my case along with what she was doing. She was honest on what to expect and the possible outcomes. I felt very comfortable with my legal issue in her hands and that she is going to be there for me post court until my issue is resolved.

I was asked to make a personal appearance before the State Board of Nursing for answering “no” to the questions regarding previous arrests or criminal charges, on my APN application, for an incident that I had thought was expunged from my record. I found this out about a month before I was to be married, and the personal appearance date was set for the week my new husband and I were supposed to be on our honeymoon! I was devastated by this news because it came as a complete shock to me that the incident was still on my record. Also, I was devastated by the thought that approval of my APN license was at risk after all of the years of work I had put into it.
I was at risk of losing the new job that I had been offered because the delay in obtaining my license would not allow me to make the start date that had been agreed upon. Because of this, I could not push back the date of the appearance before the State Board any further, and I was prepared to cancel my honeymoon to attend.
I contacted Lorie to seek counsel because my APN license was far too important to risk being placed on probation, or not approved at all, for something that was a simple misunderstanding on my part. Lorie not only helped me through the process of preparing for the State Board meeting, but she was able to appeal to the board and get them to agree to move my appearance forward 2 weeks so that it would be over before my wedding, and I could go on my honeymoon as scheduled! This is something that I would not have been able to accomplish without Lorie’s help.
At the State Board meeting, Lorie was there to appear with me, which added some reassurance. The result of the appearance was the recommendation that my license be granted “free and clear.” It was an immense relief to have this out of the way prior to my wedding day so that I could relax and enjoy the day, and we also went on our honeymoon as scheduled! This would not have been possible without Lorie’s help. Employing her services was worth so much more than words can say because she not only helped me through a very difficult time but also prevented this awful situation from ruining one of the happiest moments in my life that I would never have the opportunity to get back. I highly recommend Lorie's services!

Lorie is very knowledgeable regarding matters before the Indiana Board of Nursing. She helps you proactively prepare for appearances by recommending continuing education, having you obtain letters of reference. I did have some "sticker-shock" regarding the fee.
