DNP

I went to Mrs. Brown because I was having trouble to renew my license. She cooled me down quickly and directed me step by step. She worked with me after hours and was always available. She is sweet and calm. I followed every direction that she recommended. We finally got my license renewed.

Believed In Me, Supported Me, Trusted Me, Professional and Understanding

From the initial call I made to Lorie's office, I spoke to her Assistant Amanda, who was absolutely amazing! To know that someone wants to help you without even meeting you and believing in you and trusting you..Amanda was that person! After meeting with Lorie and explaining my story, I had already ...felt some pressure lifted off my shoulders. As I expected honesty from her, she too expected complete honesty from me. Its hard to explain really, to have Lorie in my corner, as well as Amanda, I felt instant comfort. When your career, hard work and priveledge of having a nursing license is on the line and can be taken away from you over a mistake, misunderstanding, lack of knowledge or just plain having a bad day, Lorie stepped up to the plate. She is professional and yes, very honest with complete integrity. From Day 1, she told me what I needed to do or should do. She corresponded with me in a timely manner. And a quote from her I will never forget: "A mistake does not define who you are." She helped me realize that having a RN license is a priveledge and not a right. She taught me how to protect my license in the future. I wish I could say money was not an issue, but every penny was worth hiring Lorie, to have a peace of mind is actually priceless. And although I would NEVER want to go through anything like this ever again in my LIFETIME, if I had to, Lorie would be my first call. I truly believe there are Angels here on earth and two of mine are Lorie and Amanda. I would recommend Lorie in a heartbeat. After 2 years of waiting to renew my license again, it is now renewed! She can't help you if you don't want to help yourself. Expect to do what she suggests and gather what she needs. Honesty is always the best policy and Lorie will tell you that. Be true to the situation and to yourself and have a little Faith, Lorie Brown will get you through it!

medical doctor

I needed to get my medical license out of suspension, and she did it. She was through and I was very happy with the price structure. She gave me an upfront price and told me that for that price I could contact her whenever I needed to. She kept her word. I have about 6 phone calls and numerous e-...mails leading up to my case, and she did not nickel and dime me with the usual lawyer macro and micro charges of $ for a 5-minute conversation. She talked and acted like a human being, a quality sorely lacking in many lawyers. She seemed to actually CARE above and beyond her fee and the obvious sense that it would be good for her personally to do well. It appeared to me that she knew the important contacts personally and was at least able to speak intelligently about them. It did appear that there was a little bit of a learning curve that was still in progress as far as what was important to focus on to un-suspend the license, like paying the state license fee even though your license is suspended, but that was relatively trivial. I would recommend this lawyer to anyone. I am a pjysician, but I've never been sued for malpractice and haven't had an opportunity to use a lot of lawyers myself. However, I have a number of collegues that do have to use lawyers a lot. Their main complaint is the rolling, unstoppable fee and money train that gets rolling once they hire a lawyer. Every piece of paper, every stamp, even e-mails that they send to their lawyers!? is charged for. They call up the secretary to ask what time a meeting is and get a bill for it!? One guy I know asked his lawyer over the phone what he should wear to a hearing. The phone call was literally less than 3 minutes. He was billed for a billable hour for this, even though he had already paid around $30,000 up front in lawyer fees. Lorie Brown did NOT engage in any of this. What she charged was what she charged, and she had no problem taking a phone call, or calling back. And, most importantly of all, I had the suspension on my license lifted. She did what she was paid to do. Excellent.

Hire Lori

Lori and Melissa know exactly what you need to do to prove to the board that you are serious about getting your nursing career. They will help to ease your mind and lead you throughout the entire process. You are in extremely good hands with this team and the added bonus is that you get to go before ...the board first rather than waiting for hours. Don't face the board alone. Hire someone they know and trust. Lori got me my license free and clear when it was very likely to be on probation. Hiring Lori was the best decision I could have made for me nursing career and I highly recommend her!

An Attorney who is also a Nurse

I needed help defending my RN license and Lori Brown is awesome. I can not say enough good tings about her and her office staff. Lori is professional, knowledgeable, and empathetic. She did a great job representing me. She has integrity, backbone, and grit. She fights for you as if the battles were her... own. She did not allow me to be bullied by the system. She worked with me on fee payment schedules. Lori also answered my calls and e-mails almost instantly, day or night. I love her office staff because they were kind, caring, and educated me about legal matters. (Amanda needs a raise). Lori Brown is such a great lawyer because of her combined real world experience as well as nursing experience and knowledge. I recommend her to everyone.
