Sarah Jones Glasser

Sarah Glasser is an associate attorney at Wanzer Edwards, P.C. where she focuses her practice in the areas of family law, including collaborative law, family mediation, step-parent adoptions, guardianships, estate planning and criminal law.

She earned her undergraduate degree from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana, majoring in Humanistic Studies. She earned her Doctorate in law from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. While attending school, Ms. Glasser worked at a personal injury defense firm. This employment was her first exposure to litigation, which would become the focus of her entire legal career. Upon completion of law school, Ms. Glasser moved back to her home state of Indiana, where she continued her growth and love of the litigation process by representing clients in recovering monetary obligations due to them in numerus courts thought the state of Indiana.

Next, Ms. Glasser further perfected her trial skills by practicing in the area of criminal defense. She has handled thousands of criminal cases from inception to resolution ranging from misdemeanors to major felonies. Ms. Glasser’s eight years of experience in criminal law provided her with daily firsthand courtroom experience and gave her an opportunity to develop a rapport with local prosecutors, defense attorneys, and judges. She knows how to spot weaknesses in cases and how to use her trial skills to the benefit of her client. During this time, she also represented clients in delinquent child support hearings, advocated for mentally ill clients, veterans, and persons fighting addiction in specialized problem-solving courts in Marion County.

Ms. Glasser is excited to be applying her expansive trial understanding to matters concerning dissolution, child support compliance, step-parent adoptions, and guardianships. After almost a decade of litigation experience, Ms. Glasser has found her true passion in helping families through the process of moving forward during difficult circumstances. Ms. Glasser strives to prevent the legal system from feeling like a confusing and unforgiven place and has always sought to bring information to her clients so that they could move forward with the knowledge needed to make wise, sound decisions.

Ms. Glasser is admitted to practice in Indiana state courts and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. She is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association and its Family Law section.
