I was impressed with Jessie during my initial divorce consultation and expected an attorney who would be engaged, responsive, strategic, and willing to advocate for me. Unfortunately, that was not my experience after hiring her. Communication was a persistent problem. Emails were not always answer...ed promptly, and correspondence from my former spouse’s attorney was sometimes delayed. I essentially wrote my own parenting plan and felt I received very little meaningful guidance or strategy. I did not feel Jessie listened carefully or fully understood the issues in my case. Mediation was anticipated at one point, yet I received essentially no preparation for it. Thankfully, mediation ultimately did not occur, but the lack of any preparation was concerning. The office also seemed disorganized. Billing was inconsistent, and at times approximately two months would pass before I received an invoice. I was also uncomfortable with offhand political comments that seemed to assume my political views. Those assumptions were wrong. I would look elsewhere if you want consistent communication, careful listening, preparation, and meaningful legal guidance.
