My opinion of Katherine Harmon

As I was going through a particularly difficult divorce, Kathy Harmon came to my rescue. I had originally retained a different attorney. This first attorney told me to just prepare myself to pay out a lot of money. A friend knew Kathy and recommended I speak with her. As soon as I met her, she was someone I could talk to easily. I knew she was listening to me. She looked at my situation and immediately handled my case with an out come very favorable to me. I will definitely call upon her for any future assistance that may arise.

I concentrate my practice on family law as a certified Family Law Specialist from the Family Law Certification Board of the Indiana State Bar Association. My practice includes adoption, legal separations, divorce, a wide range of custody issues and visitation. I also focus on guardianships, paternity issues, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements in addition to handling appellate cases.

I received y undergraduate degree in criminal justice and psychology from Indiana University in 1997. I graduated from the Indiana University School of Law in 2001. That same year, I was admitted as a member of the Indiana State Bar and both the Northern and Southern District Courts of Indiana of the United States District Court. I am also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.

I proudly represent people from all over the state of Indiana.

In addition to my membership in the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association and the Indianapolis Bar Association, I believe in giving back to the community through volunteering for worthwhile causes. I am especially passionate about advocating for children and am a volunteer for Kids Voice of Indiana, where I was honored to receive their award for volunteer of the year in 2018.

The Best Family Lawyer Hands Down! - From a Cop......

I have possibly one of the ugliest divorce situations ever; and that says a lot being a police officer. Kathy was able to step in and restore order to a very disorderly parenting situation. I now can see my children with more ease and less drama. I have recommended Kathy Harmon to many friends of mine and each has thanked me for it! I highly recommend Kathy to take care of your divorce or family law needs!

Best Adoption Attorney in Indy!!

The Blonde Pit Bull is the best in Indy. Once she enters the court room in your behalf and speaks the very first time, there is no doubt this attorney knows her business. I was proud to have her represent me and I am very proud to say she is the best at her job! Mrs. Harmon is now a life long friend!

An amazing professional who truly cares for her clients

Katherine Harmon has represented me since June of 2011 and from day one she has always represented my needs and my sons needs without failure. Her knowledge of family law and navigating the courts has made the process so much easier and less stressful for me. She is honest and will tell you things that maybe you do not want to hear but she is always giving you a realistic view of what might occur. Best Lawyer I've Had

We are currently dealing with a child custody case that is taling place in Indianapolis, however we live 4 hours away. We contacted her and she was willing to do conferences by phone instead of making us drive to Indianapolis to meet her. She was very detailed, asked lots of questions, and gave us excellent advice. She began right away and started filing the necessary motions to send to the other party's lawyer. She is very nice and very diligent. Considering we have never met face to face, she has not made a single error or miscommunicated to us at all. She is amazing! Highly reccommended. We've never had a lawyer be so quick to react and helpful. She has given us a lot of peace of mind.
