The worst attorney ever!!!!!!

I hired Mr. Katchmer to represent me in a criminal case in clark county ohio. While he seemed knowledgeable, he wasn't representing me to the best of his ability. He claimed to be a criminal defense attorney and a prosicuting attorney who had passed the bar in not one but two states; New York and Ohi...o. During the course of my case all he had to say was everything was fine and not to worry, but he didn't keep me posted on any of the events that took place. It seemed like i was keeping him up to date and doing more research on the type of crime i was up against. After a lengthy amount of time I decided to substitute council, I chose to have Don Brezine represent me as my attorney and he did more in two months than George Katchmer did in a year.

Do NOT HIRE THIS LAWYER

I hired George back in 2012 to help me withdraw my plea in Court. I found out the prosecutor had hid evidence against me. After George had filed the motion, the Court granted me a hearing. So I went to the hearing and George appeared and I remember testifying on the Stand and the Judge was hounding ...my attorney, asking him if he issued the subpoenas for the records the prosecutor had hid against me, and the fact he was to get witnesses to appear. He told the Judge he did not issue any subpoenas, and the records and witnesses was not before the Court. The Judge was confused how he forgot to issue the subpoenas, so the court declined me to withdraw my plea because my attorney forgot to get the records in front of the court. Instead of telling me or the court he completely messed up, he appealed the decision and DID NOT ARGUE HE FAILED TO GET ANYTHING IN FRONT OF THE COURT. He protected himself from any innfectiveness. I started to ask George questions like why the trial Court didn't look into my claim that the prosecutor hid good evidence against me. He told me not to worry. So he briefed the appellate court that the prosecutor hid good evidence against me, but yet he procedurally defaulted to get them in front of the Court. Then the court of appeals declined me, they had no record in front of them to make a decision on!!! When they declined me I called up George on the phone and his receptionist said "He's not here, can I take a message?" So I left a message for him to return my call, he never returned my phone calls, he clearly messed up! I had numerous attorney's telling me to get my money back, so I did get my money back from this guy. I want to tell everyone NOT TO HIRE THIS GUY OR ANYTHING TO DO WITH PATRICK MULLIGAN. When I got my money back from this guy, I was granted a hearing to address how much I should get back, and George told the committee he did fail in getting the records in front of the court and the fact he didn't tell me of his mistake and he told me and the committe "I don't know if this evidence would have helped you" This is after him telling me and the Court the evidence would have exonerated me. Not only did I get all my money back but George is now facing numerous bar complaints for misrepresentation. This guy will never admit to his mistake and will hold you liable for his mistake. Another con job from another con lawyer. Be aware before you hire an attorney, because lawyers will B!!!t you into something, tell you something is really good, they overhype you and make you feel like your an instant lottery winner, and then as soon as you pay him, pray they will actually return a phone call, or even appear in court!!! Do your research, look for any bar complaints or ethics violations, or call around to see if there even any good. Also this last piece of advice everyone should listen to. Find the right lawyer for the right offense, certain lawyers only practice in one field, say drug charges, and if your facing anythign other than that, say arson, murder, or sex offenses, they will not know how to defend you! And DON"T HIRE A LAWYER WHO HAS DONE MAYBE 1 OR 2 CASES FOR THE OFFENSE YOUR CHARGED WITH, you need a lawyer who's done 100's of those cases and WON a majority of them.
