Great lawyer!

While going to court for a ACDA ticket, Steve was very informative about the process and possible out comes of the trial vs non trial. He was confident about getting it dropped to a 0 point violation and did just that. Highly recommended; nice, professional, and experienced.

DUI Defense

I hired Steve to represent me in my defense against an OVI charge. He asked initially what I was looking to get out of his defense. He had my DUI reduced in to a physical control and minimized my consequences. He did great with the judge and was very helpful. I will definitely recommend him to anybod...y with similar charges.

First time to hire an Attorney

Neither me nor my husband had never hired an attorney before and I actually Googled "juvenile defense attorney in Lebanon, OH" to find one. I chose Rittgers because they seemed to be family-oriented. My teenage daughter was involved in a misdemeanor case where she was wrongfully accused of 2 charges... and we wanted to make sure charges were dismissed, as they should be. I called and spoke with a senior associated, Ed Perry, who was extremely helpful (on a weekend even)and he referred me to Steve Kilburn. We met with Steve the following week and we had a positive feeling about him to represent our daughter in this case. He was very positive and eager to help, although he did not give us false hopes. He laid out the possible outcomes, but did feel we had a strong case. Full payment was paid upfront and covered everything through trial if it was to come to that. Everything was disclosed upfront. He kept us well informed during the process and handled everything as needed. Whenever I called or emailed with questions or concerns, he responded very promptly. He seemed to really care what we were going through and was there to help not just make his fees! The court appearances started in February and kept being pushed off and finally the last one was in May. He did his research and handled the court hearing very well! It appears at this point that charges will be dismissed, which was our goal from the beginning. We would definitely look to hire Steve or another attorney from Rittgers again if ever we found ourselves in need and I would recommend the firm to anyone looking to hire an attorney.

Would Hire Again!

Rittgers & Rittgers was recommended to me by a lawyer friend. From my first call, attorney Steve Kilburn, started on my case. He was friendly, understanding and efficient. By working with the Mason Prosecutor, he greatly improved my legal outcome, avoiding my license suspension and reducing my points... violation. I would certainly hire attorney Kilburn and his firm again!

ACDA Dismissal

While I wanted ACDA dismissal, Steve was very clear from the beginning as what is legally possible and what is not and did the best possible defense and made it to non-moving violation. Although he did not promise anything, am completely satisfied with the way, the case has been dealt with profession...alism. I would recommend Rittgers and specifically Steve Kilburn.

"Steve came to our firm in early 2014 after working for a high volume injury firm in downtown Cincinnati. He quickly learned the intricacies of criminal defense and DUI law. Steve grew up in southern Ohio and excelled in under graduate and law school. He is past comment editor for University of Dayton Law Review and a phenomenal legal writer for multiple areas of practice. Without hesitation I highly recommend Steve for anyone in need of a good attorney who cares about your situation."
