I had first retained to Amber in 2016 to deal with a custody case. At the time I was a young, new dad fighting for custody of my son. My son's mother was withholding him from me for days, weeks, even an entire month one point. Prior to even thinking of retaining any legal counsel, I had did what most... guys in my situation would think to do: I filed a case with the OAG. As many out there may have experienced, the OAG did not work in my best interest. I got to the court and they immediately threw me on child support, told me I had to pay $588 a month in child support when I was only making minimum wage and gave my child's mother pretty much everything she asked for without bothering to hear me out. When I retained Amber, all of that started to change. I genuinely felt like I had somebody who was in my corner working for me. She gave me excellent advice, was able to undo the previous order that the OAG put in place and got me everything I asked for. Til this day, I still have primary custody of my son. She was professional, knowledgeable and couldn't have been more lenient with the costs. At the time, I made $7.50/hr and she made it work. As with many custody battles, eventually accusations were thrown my way by the other parent but Amber, again demonstrating her legal expertise, took care of everything. I recommend her to all of my clients and anyone reading this review.
