Attorney Haupt talks a big case when you first meet him... don’t buy it! All the rules he stated to me about an OVI that would cause my case to be thrown out or at the very least reduced he didn’t even file with the court. I had to constantly ask for driving privileges, ask about things posted on my ...case online he seemed to know nothing about. He flat out lied that he filed for suppressing evidence and filed for a witness narrative when he didn’t. He made a lot of promises of phone calls, meetings, filings and then I go to court and get state mandatory minimum anyway. If it’s your first offense you’d represent yourself better. Maybe in a few years when he gets some more experience and builds better relationships at the courthouse he’ll serve the community better. I really feel he dropped the ball and sometimes didn’t even remember about my case. Very dissatisfied. He offered me a refund but then ran out of the courthouse before I could actually collect it from him lmao. Surprise surprise !

James Haupt is the epitome of unprofessionalism. We hired him to represent my brother in a DUI case and he lied constantly. He never answered his phone and when he got back to us, he was always beyond rude. He even failed to show up to my brother's court dates when he needed to. Do not waste your tim...e and money.

I’m not writing this review because I got a great outcome, I am writing this because I’ve been in trouble before and Mr Haupt from the beginning told me what might happen from good to bad. He retuned every call, and believe me I called a lot more than I should of, he made it convenient for me when I... wasn’t able to drive, and was always truthful when I asked questions. He did everything possible to fight for the best possible outcome and he got it! So even if I would not have gotten what I wanted i would still rate him the best attorney professionally and as a person. There is no bad thing I can say and would hire him again ,god forbid , if I ever get in trouble and would recommend him to anyone who is in trouble.

IS THE WORST ATTORNEY I EVER HAD..ITS NOT HIS LIFE HE MESSES WITH, ITS YOURS....I WOULD OR WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS MAN FOR ANYBODY..I BELIEVE I GOT A SHITTY DEAL..SURE DONT MIND TAKING YOUR MONEY...BUT WORKING FOR YOU IS LIKE PULLING TEETH....MAKES PROMISES HE NEVER KEEPS OR DOES....ALL I CAN SAY IS ...LOOK FOR SOMEONE ELSE...PUBLIC DEFENDER WOULD HAVE BEEN ATLEAST THE SAME OR BETTER.....

If your searching for an attorney. Hit back a few times and start your search over. Jim Haupt is the worst attorney I have ever dealt with. Promises you things that should be easy to get yet fails to. Shows up late and unprepared to court. Makes you look bad due to the fact he's so unprofessional. I ...thought because of his ability would justify the price he charged, and back up the promises he made. He'll ruin your case to the point when you look for another attorney they won't touch it for any amount of money because they don't want the loss to tarnish his reputation. Take my word for it find someone else. Or regret not doing it when it's to late like I did!
