NOT GUILTY!

“NOT GUILTY!” Those two words, repeated multiple times, sent waves of relief through my body, mind and spirit as I sat in the courtroom facing multiple years in prison, accused of multiple counts of felony menacing by stalking. Things I knew I did not do. To me, they were the two most beautiful ...words in the English language. My name is Kenneth E. Swickard. I retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant with over 24 years active duty and a retired Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor with a Clinical Supervision endorsement. I found myself in this position due to a particularly unpleasant divorce instigated by my, now, ex-wife. I will spare the dirty details and build up, to get to the point of this review. The lawyer responsible for my hearing those delicious, freeing words is Christopher Coleridge of Coleridge Law! When one has written for Generals, one learns to be brief, concise and powerful in presentation. I have no problem being concise and powerful when it comes to Attorney Coleridge, it is the “brief” part which is most difficult, as there is much more I can say beyond what you read from here forward. In my case, Attorney Coleridge, with laser-like precision, eviscerated the State’s case, causing my accuser’s accusations, composure and credibility to evaporate while on the stand. His pointed cross examination of the police detective resulted in a ten-year police veteran admitting, multiple times, under oath, that he did not conduct a proper investigation. Further evidence? By my count, it took the jury less than 30 minutes to come to a verdict on multiple counts of felony by stalking, one of quickest verdicts in the recent history of the Stark County Common Pleas Court. I have more, but, to me, perhaps the most telling evidence of Attorney Coleridge’s excellence is, both times I was in jail, whenever anyone in my pod asked, “Who is your lawyer?” When I said,”Coleridge.”, to a man, they all said, “Oh, he’s GOOD! You’re all good!” This is high praise, indeed, and they were all correct! A good review covers all aspects of service. I have no complaints. However, when I first began working with Attorney Coleridge, I expected more frequent communication and was concerned we were not communicating enough. I soon learned this is due to several reasons. One, he is a very busy man. I was standing with him once for about five minutes. In that five minutes, he received 25 texts, and he said this is normal. Two, he did not contact me when he did not need to, which saves me money and him time. If you do not hear from him, do not worry, he is on your case and as time approaches, contacts will increase and your defense will solidify. In summary, should you find yourself in the sights of a local prosecutor, for either a misdemeanor or felony charge, I highly recommend your VERY FIRST call be to Attorney Coleridge and his team of professionals. Especially if “NOT GUILTY!” are the two words you most desperately want to hear.

Excellence in Law

My mistake required a Lawyer, so I called several. From the first conversations, Chris Coleridge added calmness to a stressful situation. He was straight forward stating what he could, and would try to do. During the process he seemed more like a friend doing a favor, than a hired attorney. He exceed...ed expectations, and helped make all charges go away. I highly recommend this firm, and this lawyer. Though I hope to never use him again.... if I do need representation, I am calling him again. Well done Sir.

Thank you Chris

Chris was recommended to us by a friend during the darkest, most terrifying time of our lives. Our family was falling apart, and we were scared and overwhelmed. When I reached out, he called me back on a Saturday, met with us that Monday, and stayed late just to make sure we felt heard and supported.... That alone meant more than he probably knows. Our case involved a false accusation and a medically complex child. From the very beginning, Chris saw what we saw, that it didn’t make sense. He never tried to turn us against each other or take the easy route. Instead, he cared deeply about the truth and about keeping our family together. At a time when it felt like no one was listening, Chris did. We lived with this nightmare for almost a year. Chris stood up to CPS without hesitation and wasn’t afraid to say no when it mattered. Because of his commitment, perseverance, and belief in us, the case ended with no criminal charges and, most importantly, our children were reunited back home where they belong. Chris was in it for the long haul, and we will forever be grateful for the role he played in saving our family.
