Excellant attorney, will fight for you, and a good guy

I hired Attorney Bellew for a custody case involving my daughter who got involved with Children's Services. He's a good guy, and a great lawyer. He was the third lawyer I had on this case, and, as far as I can see, the only one who really did any work. Did a great job before and after court. I re...commend him to everyone.

DO NOT TRUST OR HIRE TIMOTHY ERIC BELLEW!!!! HE IS A THIEF AND WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!!!!!!

Well Unfortunately i have fallen victim to this scum bag So called attorney!! I got his info from my local FFL Dealer when i asked him for an attorney who could help me get my FFL for my home based business . Anyway i called this P.O.S and he told me he could help me no problem and would be in the a...rea and could stop by my house to discuss what i needed in detail. so i said come on by and when he arrived i told him what i needed and he said no problem and took my deposit and gave me a receipt and a form stating that i hired him to help me., we both signed it and away he went!!!!!! Called him once a week later "Because i did not hear or receive any correspondence at all!! "and asked what was happening in my case and he said he would send me over some paper work for me to sign and that's the last i heard or seen of him !! and its been three weeks now with no call back or update . nor can i call him because he does not answer his phone or return his messages!!!!!!!! I can and will file a complaint with the Ohio bar association and the disciplinary counsel and maybe get a stop to this low life so he cannot do this to anyone else..!!! But I'am guessing nothing will happen to this scumbag and my money is as good as gone. Please people DO YOUR RESEARCH WHEN YOU HIRE AN ATTORNEY! If i had done that i would not be out hundreds of dollars with NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT!

Scam Artist

This man is a con artist. He wants your money but he refuses to communicate or even file motions for you. His business card is fake. The address listed on it belongs to a bail bonds company that has no knowledge of him and they have been at that location for nearly two years. The address listed in th...e Ohio Supreme Court Attorneys registry is also fictitious. The phone number is valid...but it isn't an office phone, it is a cell phone that nearly always has a full voice mail and he declines answering. He states that he is charging you a flat fee, but then tries to change it to an hourly fee afterwards. Not very intelligent though as I recorded him and he sent emails indicating a flat fee. Because of this when you put a down payment on them it is not a retainer but an advanced payment. Such should actually be placed in a separate account such as an eskrow account until completion of service. He also demands that you send monies to his personal Pay Pal account and refuses USPS money orders. This is not a valid practice, if he does use something like Pay Pal it should be designated as a business account. He made all kinds of false promises in which there was no delivery. He virtually made no pretrial motions whatsoever other than a Discovery and Bill of Particulars. He refused to schedule a pretrial conference for a probable cause hearing, did not subpoena any witnesses on my behalf, refused to impeach any of the prosecutions witnesses who had prior crimes involving dishonesty on their records, and refused to look into procedural errors or blatant constitutional violations, he refused to allow me to see my Discovery and it was for misdemeanors. I asked him tto file several motions for suppression, to quash, to subpoena witnesses, to challenge evidence. Nothing, this man is lazy...and I seriously doubt he was in the JAG corps for 25 years as he made claim to me. I recorded this mans initial consultation and what few calls he did make he outright refused to answer legal questions, but instead demanded you send money to him or he would drop you as a client. Please spread the word. If anyone is interested I have documentation of everything.

Beware, this guy will take your money and run

Avoid Tim Bellew at all costs. I paid him to do a simple uncontested divorce. I paid him up front to get this done. Once I got a hold if him to pay the filing fee he claimed he would file it the next week. He never did. He then mentioned he sent in the filing. He never did until I called him out abo...ut it and said I was going to contact the court. When I called, which was ten days after he said he mailed it they said he literally was just there filing 45 mins before my call. Now I cannot get him to respond to any calls or emails. This guy lies and is truly unethical. I am now wondering what to do next as I cannot afford another lawyer and I don't know what the next steps are that need to be taken. He has left me high and dry and I'm debating whether to report him to the Ohio Bar Association. I don't know what issues this so called attorney has other than ripping people off. From the other reviews it seems he likes screwing people over. Looks like I need to make a stand so people like him don't take another dime from people. He shouldn't be allowed to practice law.

He takes your money and disappears

We met twice. I gave him a down-payment for my divorce on the 1st meeting. On the 2nd meeting I gave him what we hoped would be the balance and signed affidavits. I haven't been able to reach him since and nothing has been filed. It has been 4 month. I retained another attorney to handle my divorce.
