My exwife accused me of domestic violence, but nothing really happened. I was charged with domestic violence and criminal damaging. I hired Attorney Bellew based on the reference of a friend. I called him on a Sunday, on Monday he had paperwork filed, and the warrant that was issued for me recall...ed. We did not waive the time requirement for speedy trial. A trial date was set, and he got statements from my wife, and neighbor. The prosecution refused to budge off the domestic violence charge, and he said we are going to trial. On the morning of trial, both charges were dismissed by the prosecution. He knew they couldn't prove their case, and called their bluff. Always returned my calls and did a great job,

I got a DUI from an Ohio State Trooper. I had a public defender to told me to just plead to the DUI, take the fines, the reinstatement fees, the drivers license suspension, the 6 points, everything. I didn't want to do that. I called Attorney Bellew. He got the video of the stop, and after 2 pret...rials with the prosecutor, go the charge reduced to having physical control. No points, no reinstatement fee, no further suspension. Saved me a ton of money and did a great job.

I hired Attorney Bellew for a divorce, with 2 sons. He had the first set of paperwork done and filed within one week. At the end of the case, I got pretty much everything I wanted. Attorney Bellew did a great job, kept me informed, and always told me what was going on. I had other attorney's tell... me that this divorce would be expensive and be a long process, and I should settle for what was being offered by my husband's attorney. I did not want to do that. Attorney Bellew did not settle, and, in the end, I got almost everything I wanted. He did a great job.

This man is a con artist. He wants your money but he refuses to communicate or even file motions for you. His business card is fake. The address listed on it belongs to a bail bonds company that has no knowledge of him and they have been at that location for nearly two years. The address listed in th...e Ohio Supreme Court Attorneys registry is also fictitious. The phone number is valid...but it isn't an office phone, it is a cell phone that nearly always has a full voice mail and he declines answering. He states that he is charging you a flat fee, but then tries to change it to an hourly fee afterwards. Not very intelligent though as I recorded him and he sent emails indicating a flat fee. Because of this when you put a down payment on them it is not a retainer but an advanced payment. Such should actually be placed in a separate account such as an eskrow account until completion of service. He also demands that you send monies to his personal Pay Pal account and refuses USPS money orders. This is not a valid practice, if he does use something like Pay Pal it should be designated as a business account. He made all kinds of false promises in which there was no delivery. He virtually made no pretrial motions whatsoever other than a Discovery and Bill of Particulars. He refused to schedule a pretrial conference for a probable cause hearing, did not subpoena any witnesses on my behalf, refused to impeach any of the prosecutions witnesses who had prior crimes involving dishonesty on their records, and refused to look into procedural errors or blatant constitutional violations, he refused to allow me to see my Discovery and it was for misdemeanors. I asked him tto file several motions for suppression, to quash, to subpoena witnesses, to challenge evidence. Nothing, this man is lazy...and I seriously doubt he was in the JAG corps for 25 years as he made claim to me. I recorded this mans initial consultation and what few calls he did make he outright refused to answer legal questions, but instead demanded you send money to him or he would drop you as a client. Please spread the word. If anyone is interested I have documentation of everything.
