Thomas Leroy Erb Jr.

Thomas Erb Jr. is an experienced attorney focused primarily on Ohio family law, including divorce, child support, child custody, grandparent rights, and prenup and postnuptial agreements. Tom is known for his tough, effective approach that gets results for his clients.

Tom was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2012 after earning his Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and English from the University of Akron in 2003 and 2009, respectively. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from Case Western Reserve Law School in 2012. He is also a member of the Medina County Bar, where he serves on the Character and Fitness Committee.

During his time in law school, Tom gained a great deal of professional experience, including an internship with the United States Attorney General's Office in Cleveland, where he assisted federal prosecutors in prosecuting check kiting, mortgage fraud, and other federal criminal acts. He also worked as an intern in the Ohio Attorney General's Office in Cleveland, assigned to the workers' compensation division, but also preparing depositions and legal arguments for the civil rights division. His work also included preparing drafts of memos to attorneys and Motion in Limine, as well as other research and writing projects.

Additionally, Tom spent time working at a private law firm in Cleveland as a clerk. He was involved in all aspects of defense, including writing motions, preparing appellate briefs, filing and responding to complaints, and evaluating claims for settlement amounts, as well as a variety of other research projects.

Tom most often practices in Medina, Summit, and Cuyahoga Counties, but has also appeared in actions in Stark, Lorain, Cuyahoga, Holmes, Mahoning, and Richland Counties.

When he is not in the office or courtroom, he enjoys traveling, cheering on the Buckeyes, and playing golf. He is a past participant in YSTARK! and a past member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Entertainment Committee.
