A big thank you to Matt Shupe! Matt took my case when I lived in Ohio. Although I had to move to Ky Matt continued to represent me on my long journey to win my disability case. Even though I could have called Matt to speak over the phone when I had a question ( and believe me I had a lot of questions...) I chose to email him because I know he is in and out of court and I knew he would get back to me as soon as he could. There were so many times that I wanted to give up with Social Security because I felt they did not believe that I was disabled but then I had Matt there to back me up and was with me every step of the way! After two years of the denial/appeal process, my daughter's SSI case was ultimately successful at the hearing level. The hearing was a nerve-wracking experience for our family but Matthew was superb. First of of it's been a person who thought if you can't explain something in layman's terms then you don't understand it yourself. Matt explained everything that was happening in a language that I was able to understand. When I first talked to Matt it was to appeal my denial from disability. The disa...bility can be hard because you're just not the same person that you used to be. Talking to Matt he was on such a personal level with me that it was like we were going to go fishing after the hearing. One thing I can say is he definitely left a lasting impression on me.
