He didn't fight for me extremely laid back not on the ball if if didn't have the paperwork he definitely wouldn't have like you have to be your own lawyer he's just there. His advise outside court is good just not aggressive enough for me. His communication sucks too. I call and text him no answer an...d he doesn't call me back except if we are close to a trial date. My cases last trial date was in December of 2022 and I didn't get results until July 2023 of what the outcome was because of his laxadaisyness. I only found out the results by looking at the docket online he didn't inform me. I still haven't seen the actual results that the court sent to him and it is October 2023

3 yrs ago, my elderly parents & I sat down with Mike Bassett to draw up an irrevocable trust. We paid him $1000 and he never completed the process. We never received the final paperwork until he returned to town & we called to get it. Property titles were NOT changed in to the trust. I asked to ...have them returned to us 3 yrs later. He had left town without notifying my parents. My mother was told that he had turned his practice over to another attorney who had NO file for my parents trust. The trust was never filed or notarized. Mike Bassett has returned to Port Clinton and is not returning my mother's calls & is just NOW (3 yrs later) trying to change titles when we've hired another attorney. How can this be done with 3 year old paperwork?

used michael and he charged me $1000 for a retainor fee, which is cheap, he went to court with me one time and we were only there an hour, never got any of my money back!1000 an hour? LOl. He wont return your calls. He has had his number disconnected twice when i tried to call him...said number was d...isconnected.Beware!! Others have told me that he took their money and didnt even bother showing up to court for them, dont know how he's gotten away with this.
