Wasted my time for 3 months.
I contacted attorney Elizabeth Schmitz concerning a guardianship. Ms. Schmitz’s office told me that a doctor would need to examine my family member for the purpose of diagnosis. Ms. Schmitz's office never told me how long the process of obtaining the guardianship would take, but assured me that they ...

Replied last July 16, 2020I am sorry that my office did not provide you with a level of service that we seek to attain. As I expressed to you several times by phone and email this guardianship would be difficult because your family member refused to leave her home to see a doctor. A doctor's examination is required to start a guardianship and to file paperwork with the court. Additionally, when you contacted me the State was in a lock down and finding a doctor to come to your home was very difficult. We should have done a better job of keeping you advised along the way and I apologize for that. My intention was not to waste your time but to find a solution to the very difficult situation. My office staff treats everyone very professionally. If you would like to discuss this matter further, please contact me.
