While working for Fortune 500 companies handling employee relations issues in a human resources capacity, Kendall Isaac soon realized the importance of effective and fair leadership as well as the importance of managing employee expectations. He also learned that his job as an HR professional was less about ensuring justice in the workplace and more about protecting the company’s ASSets. This realization prompted him to continue to develop as an HR professional during the day while attending law school in the evening - gaining a thorough understanding of labor and employment law. His goal was to someday be in a position to educate Corporate America on how to balance the competing interest between management’s need for productivity and profit and the employee’s need for fair play and high morale.
After graduating from law school with a concentration in labor and employment law, his intent was to start his own law practice and work hard to ensure that the workplace would be one where everyone was treated with dignity and respect. However, while looking for a mentor to help him further develop his expertise, the gentleman he hoped would become his mentor actually offered him a job working for a large law firm doing workers’ compensation and litigation work on behalf of major corporations. He took this job in order to gain practical experience and to become a competent legal professional.
However, his desire to start his own practice did not wane. Indeed, he was determined to be in a position to provide invaluable consultative services to people who were struggling with how to deal with employment issues. The law firm where he worked was not the proper forum to help him accomplish this goal. He therefore resigned from the law firm and launched The Isaac Firm. Armed with just a laptop and an unwavering faith in God, his law practice soared and experienced tremendous success in the arena of litigating, mediating, and ultimately resolving complex employment disputes.
Today, Kendall continues his never-ending pursuit to infuse dignity and respect into the employee relations equation. As an attorney, litigator, mediator, educator, and advisor, he is determined to help his clients reach excellent outcomes to their employment problems.
In fact, excellence and determination are the center of everything Mr. Isaac strives to accomplish. It is no wonder that he has long lived according to the simple I.D.E.A. that "If Determined…Excellence Awaits!"
