I worked with Catherine on establishing a shared custody agreement with my ex girlfriend. I had an hour long consultation, she accepted my case and was able to have it filed and reviewed by a judge in a reasonable time. My ex girlfriend had agreed to everything in advance, so our case was pretty pain...less. We have always had a good relationship so the process was completed with very little acrimony or spite. It is easy to let anger get in the way of what should be a peaceful process. 3. Things take time. The wheels of government turn pretty slow. Ask for timelines, she will provide them. they will be reasonable. Also remember that other lawyers can work at different paces, people can drag their feet. Be reasonable. 4. E-mail and phone communication can take 24 hours. Be prepared to understand that. If you send an e-mail on Friday night, she won't answer until the following work day. Catherine was competent and a pleasure to work with.

Catherine really cares about her clients- even more so, she care about the children. I loved that even though there can be many emotional/mud slinging aspects in divorce- she was compassionate and even though there was degrogatory comments being made about me, by my ex, she simply reminded me that "i...t's not relavent in court." While I still have to pay him alimony, she got him to settle and avoided a trial. I've worked hard for where I am, I was medically retired from the military, and the sheer fact that the person I was married to for nearly 15 years was simply after money in the end, I am free. My kids have a long healing road ahead, as do I, but even later that night of the final court date and the following day, Catherine called to check on me and see how I was doing. She's a compassionate lawyer that truly cares about her clients and keeps you focused on what's really important. God sent me an angel during a season when I needed her!
