Highly Recommend Catherine!

I am so thankful for the exceptional legal support I received fro Catherine during my divorce and child custody. From the very beginning, She mad a challenging and emotional process much easier to navigate. Catherine was not only highly knowledgeable but also empathetic, taking the time to understand... my concern and offer sound advice that aligned with my best interest. What stood out to me most was her ability to handle the legal complexities of the case while maintaining clear compassionate communication. Catherine was always responsive to my questions and made sure I understood each step of the process. Thanks to Catherine, the entire process went smoothly and the outcome was favorable. I felt well-represented and knew that my case in expert hands. If you are going a divorce and need a lawyer who is both skilled and genuinely care about your well-being, I highly recommend Catherine!

A guiding light

I was in a tough spot. After lots of disagreements and tough months leading into tough years, there was only one way forward with my then partner of 13 years. Having two children, and sharing a home with ex-partner, it was looking and feeling bleak, to think that everything was about to change for th...e worse. My ex didn’t want to offer me equal shared parenting time of the two children that I’d lived with, loved and raised their whole lives(11 years and 7 years old). I hadn’t done anything wrong, we’d just grown apart. It felt very unfair and painful. I resolved that I had to get an attorney to stand up for me and help me protect my time with my children. I found Catherine through a Google search for a family attorney. I called a few other places too, initially, and was waiting to hear back. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do, this was a very unfamiliar territory for me. I’d never hired an attorney, and at the time, I wish I didn’t have to. But, I heard right back from her and she brought me in the next day for a consult. She told me I had a good chance that with filing for my rights as my children’s father, I had a good case to make for getting equal time with my kids. We had to go to court multiple times over the course of almost a year, as my ex, and her attorney, tried to be difficult. Every time I went down to the court, it felt as though my world was shifting, but Catherine helped me through it in a very caring and protective way. She answered all of my questions, which I’d sometimes call her out of the blue with, and offered me support and confidence about the situation. I was worried, and sad, and I needed that support to stand up to the threat of barely seeing my kids anymore. I lived with my ex through most of it, finally moving out into an apartment, which felt like a defeat at first, because I wanted to wish this problem all away. But today, I’ve won that battle, I have equal time with my kids, and the situation was resolved to my satisfaction. Had I not stood up for myself, and found the aid of my attorney, I shudder to think what daily life might look like now. I’m so thankful to have found and met Catherine, and I’d recommend her assistance to anyone in a similar situation. She is knowledgeable, empathetic, confident, and resourceful. She provided a guiding light to me, in a tough time when I found myself struggling to walk through my darkest moment. People kept telling me it’d get better, and to hold strong. She not only helped my confidence through the situation, but helped me walk through it, and build back up the life that I deserve to be living. Thanks Catherine!

Best Decision I made for Counsel

Catherine’s dedication to my family, and countless others have made her very very knowledgeable in her field, no matter what the other party has thrown at her, she was able to handle it with professionalism and poise. She never quit. I truly wish I had her as my divorce attorney, but I am extremely t...hankful I had her for this custody issue. She did fight for my family when I was told by others that there wasn't much hope. Fathers do have rights too, we have just as much right to love our children as the other parent. I have recommended her to so many folks needing an honest attorney. She has proven over and over again that she can be trusted, and will give it her all. My divorce attorney was less than stellar, my ex would consistently violate the terms of our custody agreement and got away with it. The kids grew tired of their mother having different boyfriends in and out of the house, alcohol issues, being alienated from friends and family, etc. Every time the children or I requested extra time, it was not even an option. Requesting Special event time, which was well within my rights as stated in our paperwork, was a nightmare. Nasty phone calls, texts, threats of never being allowed extra time again. My children never wanted to leave my house, and would often cry before I would take them back. Still to this day, their mother makes them feel guilty about wanting extra time with me, or accuses them of loving me more than her. One day my daughter called me to pick her and her sister up. A storm had knocked the power out, and it was very cold. I tried to call my ex, the girls tried to wake her but she wouldn't get up. I picked up the girls, while still reaching out to my ex which she never responded to. Roughly an hour later she finally called. It was in full on war mode. I took the girls right back to their mothers house. She had called the police, and told the girls I was going to jail. My ex forbade the girls to speak to me for almost 3 days. Took their phones away, she wouldn't even respond to texts/calls. When I finally got to speak to my oldest daughter, she was crying, apologizing, saying she should have never called, everything was her fault etc. My daughter could only speak to me while on the bus to and from school, otherwise her mother would listening to every single word. After that enough was enough. So, I set up a consultation with Catherine. She was very straightforward and honest, listened to each of my concerns and gave me realistic options. She did not pressure me into making any decision, it is difficult to get fathers rights overturned, but I was willing to take that chance if that meant I could help my girls. It didn't take long after discussing these things with my family to get things rolling. Communication was always there. Right off the bat she was able to negotiate extra visitation time. I am responsible for transportation to and from school during my time and it is a 45 min drive one way, so we needed to see how things would go. This was certainly a big step for the girls, and everyone involved. Except my ex. For the first 8 months of separation she played the victim (narcissism at its finest) emotionally manipulating our children, and I had plenty of evidence of Parental Alienation. Catherine was aware of these games and strongly suggested a GAL. This motion was granted. My children met with the GAL at both of our homes, and informed her that they wanted to live with me. Unfortunately she made the recommendation for the girls to stay with their mom due to being established in their current school. Catherine made every effort to remind the GAL, and magistrate that the children were moved without court or my consent. My ex pulled the girls from 2 of their schools during her moves. As well as lying to the enrollment center. In the end, I agreed for my ex to remain the residential parent for school purposes. But Catherine was able to get everything else we were asking for. Very Happy with results!

Highly recommend

I am a grandmother that was being denied visitation with my granddaughter. Catherine was swift and compassionate. I was so unfamiliar with the court system and Catherine was patient and explained to me and walked me through the process. I honestly don't know what I would have done without her. ... I highly recommend Ms. White for legal counsel. I now have visitation with my granddaughter and I couldn't be happier. Thank you Catherine!!!!

I couldn't have done it without Catherine!!!!!

I hired Catherine initially while going through an extremely high conflict divorce. My divorce was finalized late January 2023. By the middle of March 2023 my ex-wife was up to her usual disparaging and hurtful behavior. I had hired Catherine during my divorce and to say that she helped me thro...ughout that process is an extreme understatement! When I met Catherine it didn't take long to discern that she is not like any other attorney I have ever spoken to. Catherine is caring and compassionate; she is thorough and knowledgeable. Due to a simple misunderstanding my ex-wife kept my daughter from me for 5 months. My ex-wife and her attorney fabricated lie after lie. The situation started when I advised my ex-wife that I planned to exercise my parenting time for spring break. I arrived on a Friday in March to begin my parenting time and my ex would not allow me to have my daughter. I called the Columbus police department and they advised me there was nothing they could do; that only the judge could enforce the shared parenting plan. That began 5 months of hell as my poor daughter was once again kept from her father. Catherine fought for me and filed several motions until the heat was enough that the other side started wanting to negotiate. I could not have gone through such a trying time without Catherine by my side. This past week marked the first time in over 5 months that my daughter was with her daddy
