Advocate for Fathers

I wish the original review I drafted on my phone saved, so here's a shot at it again. Undoubtedly - Catherine is a great advocate for mothers too - but this is specifically written for fathers. I was referred personally to four separate attorneys and consulted all four before retaining Catheri...ne. Four. I am sure the other's knew the law and we're good referrals, but I didn't feel a connection back from any of them. They felt very uninterested in my matter and frankly, too busy for more. I walked into Catherine's office and minutes into our conversation, knew that we'd be a great team. Catherine was not only excellent at family law (as other reviews show) - she was an advocate through and through for me as the father. Understanding that I gave up my rights not long before we started working together still, she persisted with great confidence and when needed, unwavering guidance. I do not think I would have accomplished all we did (including avoid trial) without her extensive practice and knowledge of family law. It's confusing, it's not in favor of us father's, and it is mentally taxing which then can be physically damaging. Once on a path forward - I felt the weight of concern be lifted - this process is, A LOT OF WORK. YOU HAVE TO DO IT TOO (I am also recovering from alcohol and drug addiction). Before I couldn't even talk to my ex without extreme frustration and conflict. With Catherine's path, I felt that I had the confidence to begin to discover what co-parenting might look like. The Court's do not like these cases to "linger" back and forth, so you do not have time to sit, wait, and hope time will heal. It will not in this case. That's why it is required to have someone (like Catherine) who is educated well on the matter, connected (not in the pulling favors sense, but familiar to how magistrates will favor or react to certain actions and motions based on her time working locally in our courts), and a good judge of character. If you are clear, truthful, diligent, and really care of the fair and equitable interests of your children then you have found a perfect ally in the journey to settle whatever family matter you carry. I have -a path- to a future with my children - a path toward shared parenting rights, and an amazing future for my children, with me, their father in their lives. We're headed to a LONG weekend together this weekend, for the first time in several years. Bless. PS- [reminder] Just as a "consumer" of professional services myself, like those of attorney's - be respectful. Learn the importance of practicing mindfulness and patience. YOU are seeking someone for THEIR expertise, lay down your personal baggage at the door and let the person you are seeking for professional services do what they are passionate about and good at.

Yes

"If you pray don't worry, if you worry don't pray" this is what I'd say when things didn't go as planned and with working during a pandemic, while schools were changing from in class learning to virtual learning, Catherine was right there every step of the way. Some years ago I had the privilege o...f hiring Catherine to work on my shared parenting arrangement for my daughter; she did a wonderful job. I did not expect her experience and foresight handling cases such as mine to allow her to bring me such peace of mind when dealing with the court system. As a man I have always heard horror stories about "getting the courts involved," and living in Ohio Father's rights (seems to me) to be less than the Mothers. So when I say that all I had was a hope and a prayer because I knew nothing of what I was getting involved in I mean that, however Catherine was there every step of the way. Emails, text messages, phone calls, zoom meetings, face to face, however I needed to be contacted she was there. When opposing counsel was making things difficult, she went out of her way to ensure that things got complete in a timely manner which I truly thank her for. My experience with my case being handled by Catherine has been truly amazing and I am thankful that the City of Columbus has someone like her who is passionate about what she does serving it's constituents. Catherine White is worth her weight in gold and I would hire her again, for a third time if I was searching for a lawyer.

Divorce

From the moment I met Catherine face to face she put me at peace in one of the most difficult times in my life. She was a great listener and very compassionate under hard circumstances of divorce. She was very affordable. She made the process as smooth as she could. She was reachable when I needed he...r and she helped me in every way I needed. I highly recommend her.

Exceeded!!

My mother applied for emergency custody and legal custody of my daughter under false allegations. I am a mother of 3, one daughter (11) and two sons (3 and 10mths). My mother showed no care or concerns for my sons, she would pick up only my daughter to spend time with. After my mother disagree wit...h me on a puppy, she threatened me with police. After 6 days she called CPS and said I was starving, beating and mistreating my daughter. She would then proceed to call the police to do wellness checks on ONLY my daughter. No case was opened with CPS and the police officers always found all of my children well kept. After these actions and results, she decided she still wanted to proceed further (during these times, I didn't feel comfortable with my daughter spending alone time with my mother). I was informed 3 days before court my mother applied for emergency custody for my daughter and legal custody. I was shocked, astounded and hurt by the complaint she submitted out of spite and anger, that she would potentially destroy my family if I didn't find help! And immediately!! I originally attempted a references for an attorney my sister interned for, he was unable to help due to conflict of interest. He highly recommend Mrs. Catherine White. When I meet Mrs. White I was in a panic and lost, she did have a work load but she listened to me and heard me. I don't know how much stress or of an overload the case would have been, but she took me on! I was intimidated about the process, I didn't want my mother's false allegations to be a representation of me. Mrs. White understand people lie, and unfortunately situations like mine happens. She got to know me and seen, yes I'm not perfect but I love my children and do for their best interest and fought for me. She informed me of alot, and gave alot of guidance and great counsel! She exceeded every thought and expectation I had. I greatly enjoyed working with her, I would highly recommend her for hire! She's well versed and is very knowledgeable, in my opinion she has morals I feel more should hold and she's not all about the money. She's about helping and defending you and your family!! If you can call her first, you will not have to call anyone else.
