Custody battle

Catherine is an amazing lawyer!! During my custody battle she has been an amazingly confident, supportive, knowledge lawyer. I live in a different state than my child's mother and had to fight for my son that is battling cancer and had to make several trips to Ohio to fight for my son, because his mot...her couldn't or wouldn't acknowldge that my son was sick and wouldn't stay at the hospital long enough to learn how to take care of him!! Catherine has been totally supportive and helpful to me and my fight for my six year old son!! She truly cares about her clients and even though I got full custody of my son I am still in contact with her because she is truly concerned on how we are doing. I would refer to anyone and everyone!!

Ex Parte and Affair

Ex Parte was issued October 18, 2017 during my divorce. Let me be clear that at that time I did not know or had ever heard of Ex Parte. The order gave my wife temporary custody of our sons. I contacted Catherine M. White immediately for clarification. Under her guidance and questioning of my wif...e the Order was reversed as the Magistrate found no grounds for the order. I could finally have some peace of mind for me and my sons. Her technique in the hearing was “to the point” when questioning my wife and left no doubt that the order should never have been issued. Affairs are a sad reality. Let me explain how this affects the entire family. I found out that my wife had been having affairs for up to 2 years prior to the divorce proceedings. When she filed for divorce I was unaware of any of the affairs. You ask how can that be? The simple answer is “trust”. All of the sorted facts came out during our separation. The final affair with Mr. X came as a Devastating shock to our small children and to me. She had Mr. X spending the night in our home when she had the boys. We were under the 2-2-5 agreement so she had long stretches of time in control of our house and our sons. She blandly had intimate relations with our sons in the marital residence which has changed them forever. She moved the boys to Mr. X’s home which caused the children stress and unsure of their future. Don’t let Catherine’s kind and loving demeanor fool you. She is a bulldog in court.

Custody case with Catherine M White

I worked with Catherine on establishing a shared custody agreement with my ex girlfriend. I had an hour long consultation, she accepted my case and was able to have it filed and reviewed by a judge in a reasonable time. My ex girlfriend had agreed to everything in advance, so our case was pretty pain...less. We have always had a good relationship so the process was completed with very little acrimony or spite. She explained the fee structure when she agreed to take my case. No hidden fees or extra unnecessary hours billed. REMEMBER: Filing fees are not a part of the attorney fees. She explained this multiple times. Here are some things future clients need to know: 1. Be prepared. Get all the documents requested as soon as possible. The longer you wait to get the longer things will take generally. 2. Don't let forget that your children and what is best for them. It is easy to let anger get in the way of what should be a peaceful process. 3. Things take time. The wheels of government turn pretty slow. Ask for timelines, she will provide them. they will be reasonable. Also remember that other lawyers can work at different paces, people can drag their feet. Be reasonable. 4. E-mail and phone communication can take 24 hours. Be prepared to understand that. If you send an e-mail on Friday night, she won't answer until the following work day. Catherine was competent and a pleasure to work with.

Impeccable Service

When I first met with Catherine, (She wouldn't allow for me to call her Mrs. White) she spent a great amount of time with me giving me honest professional opinions on how things would play out in the end. I didn't feel like I was meeting with a typical Attorney. She made me feel at ease every step of... the way. I felt more like I was meeting with a family member that had a law degree. She gave me straight forward answers every step of the way. Not many attorneys will give you their cell phone number and if they do, answering your call is an entirely different story. Several times she answered the phone while she was at the Courthouse. She was available for me just about any time I needed her for reassurance. Most of our meetings were conducted sitting on a couch in a quaint office downtown without the stuffy feeling of sitting at a conference room in a busy office. She has a very sweet and caring disposition but also has the innate ability to put her foot down and demand respect when dealing with opposition. Clearly she is not one to be pushed around in a Court of Law. My case was very complicated and involved dealing with my ex-wife that was charged with an OMVI and 3 counts of child endangerment while transporting my 7, 5, & 3 year old children. It was by far one of the most traumatic events in my life and protecting my children from further harm was my first priority. She had a genuine concern for the safety of the children and my well-being. She often shared experiences about other clients with similar situations and it was very clear that she was very emotionally involved in those individuals. She takes a very genuine and caring approach to her clients. Her results and ethical approach when dealing with clients and opposition speak for themselves. I would recommend her to ANYONE. I can honestly say that my children are more safe today than they were a few short months ago. Thanks for all that you did Catherine!!

Custody of Minor Grandchild

I retained Catherine White after my daughter passed away unexpectedly. My minor granddaughter needed a guardian as her father had died 14 months prior to her mother. Catherine was very helpful and understanding even though this was an emotional time for our family she was compassionate and took contr...ol and suggested the best course of action and within a matter of weeks had paperwork, court appointments and an Agreed Entry signed by the Judge and kept me in the loop the whole time. I would very much recommend her as a wonderful attorney who cares about her clients.
