Excellent Counsel

Gilbert (Joey) goes past being an excellent lawyer and is a great human being as well. He very clearly explained his thoughts and plan for the situation from the beginning and as it evolved. On top of this, he consistently demonstrated his compassion for myself, and made it clear he truly cared abou...t the best outcome for me and not for himself. He is intelligent, trustworthy, and diligent. I expected needing to hire a lawyer being a less than enjoyable experience, but I can honestly say that working with Joey was enjoyable. My case involved a national security clearance, and he was incredibly helpful and sophisticated in his ability to navigate government processes and red tape. I would recommend Joey to any and all of my friends and family if legal counsel was needed.

Thank you Drew and I am so happy that you can put this behind you and move forward without issue. I am honored that you chose me when your character came under attack. Your extraordinary potential, as demonstrated by your academic successes and your tremendous work as an intern with the Army, is something that I look forward to watching you apply in support of America's national security. Thank you for choosing to serve and the sky's the limit.

A must hire for military legal concerns

Gilbert Comley is excellent! Not only is he an expert at UCMJ and the Army’s administrative processes, he was able to help me understand the nuanced details surrounding the entire ordeal. His advice was paramount, based on his years of hard-earned personal experience and professional network across t...he Army that is difficult to find elsewhere. I will continue to consult with Mr. Comley and would no doubt hire him again. If my career is on the line, he’s the person I trust to get me through it.

Thank you and know that it was my pleasure to help you navigate a complex investigation to a successful outcome. Just as when you seek to investigate or dispose of investigative findings, no senior officer should have a go of it alone (without sound and comprehensive legal advice) - the need for this advice is never more heightened than it is when you find yourself in the shoes of the Respondent or Subject. The Army's Soldiers are well-served by your leadership and I am pleased to have helped ensure that it remains available to them.

Above and Beyond!

As a Honorably served Veteran and licensed Private Investigator, I absolutely endorse Mr. Comley. While this outstanding litigator was unable to assist me with my particular needs, this fellow Veteran made sure to still tirelessly look over my case, offer advice and even refer me. He is upfront a...nd honest and will tell you exactly how it is. Sir, your integrity, respect and privacy towards my issues did not go unnoticed. I respect you greatly. Thank you so much. HOOAH!

Call Him! He is Phenomenal!

Mr. Comley was amazing! I was SO nervous to have a pending charge that could possibly muddy up my good reputation, interfere with mine or my husband's future career choices (he is active duty in the Army) or prevent me from being on post where I currently work and live. I had pending domestic assa...ult charges in federal court, due to a mental health crisis, and basically a misunderstanding. I chose Mr. Comley over about 20 other referred attorneys because once I spoke to him just one time, he made me feel at ease, and calm. With his knowledge I knew he could help me navigate through federal court. Since I have never had anything like this pending before, and had NO idea what to expect or where to start, Mr. Comley helped me figure out what would likely happen, what records I needed in my file etc, and who to speak to regarding my case. He then examined my file, discussed my matters with the prosecution's supervisory attorney, and road mapped my defense with me. When all was said and done, my case was dismissed! When I heard the word "dismissed" I was so relieved! My husband and I could hardly believe it. I called Joey right away to thank him, and to tell him how much it meant to me to not have to worry about the charge being on my record. I don't have to worry about leaving town to see family out of state, and now I don't have to worry about a domestic charge that I didnt actually deserve (due to the mental health crisis and circumstances). These charges could have interfered with any federal or civilian job choices I make in the future. I appreciate him so much. I knew from the moment I spoke to him, I was making the right choice of who I needed on my side to represent me. Thank you so much Joey!

Rape trial.

Joey Comley did great on my case and was honest throughout the whole process. He represented me back in 2013 for a military rape trial in Alaska. Joey would fly back and forth to and from Alaska. He came to make sure that I was mentally ok. I was innocent and wrongfully accused of rape by force but o...f coarse we had to prove it in court. In the beginning I was in a very depressive state of mind with it being my first time in a situation like that. We waited about 7 months for trail but throughout that time Joey kept an open line of communication with me and made me feel great about the case. One of the things I respected the most about him was he never gave up and he was adamant about not taking a plea deal and going the extra mile for me. Whenever I would reach out to him with information he always took notes and gave me his undivided attention. He took my case very serious and went above and beyond for me. At the end up the trial I was fully acquitted of all charges thanks to him. He played a big part in my life and keeping me out of prison and with my family where I belonged and for that I couldn’t thank him enough. He also check on me afterwards to see how my life was going. I now own a trucking company and have a beautiful baby girl that I’m raising. Joey genuinely cares about his clients and I would recommend him to represent anybody.

I'll never forget your Mother's reaction when the verdict was read, and I knew you were completely innocent from the start (I am so grateful you never lost hope) - you are evidence of a life well lived. Keep it up and be sure to squeeze on your Mother and Daughter!

It was a privilege to serve in the Army with Joey, including our deployment together in Afghanistan. Now as a retired Soldier, and more importantly the mother of an Airman, I would trust Joey to represent me or my family."
