Hello!

I bring a lifetime of real-world experience on the issues that may be confronting you. Do you have aging parents who can no longer care for themselves and need a Power of Attorney or maybe even Guardianship? I've been there. Feeling the need to create a Willand other life/estate planning documents, or needing help with Probate administration? Perhaps you have a family issue, or you or a loved one has been hurt in an accident. Maybe you’re a Veteran who needs to appeal a denial of disability benefits. Have your Civil Rights been violated? Whatever you’re facing you need to discuss your options and chart a clear path forward. I can help.

Fantastic Probate Lawyer
Richard did a fantastic job in my Mother’s Probate...he is exceptional in a very emotional situation! He did the case very efficiently without any added hours and was extremely upfront about what he thought the hours would be. God willing I don’t need him again but I appreciate his work!

Class Act
Richard helped me navigate when I was quickly put into a position to protect and care for a very ill family member. He established Emergency Guardianship and later Permanent Guardianship for our loved one who has Early Onset Alzheimer’s. He walked me through every twist and turn of the entire legal process. . He also applied for and won a Veterans claim for my father which helps tremendously with paying for his long term care facility. He also helped with the legalities of selling my fathers property. In all fairness, I couldn't have done what I did for dad without his guidance. I’m confident that our situation wouldn’t have ended as well as it did without Mr. Dawahare.

Will, Living Will, and Power of Attorney
Richard did a great job in developing Wills, Living Wills, and Power of Attorney for my wife and me. He used a clear method in determining the necessary information he needed us to provide. He brought up alternatives when something we might have thought would create issues or challenges for our executor or heirs. I would recommend Richard to anyone looking for this type of legal work.

Very Satisfactory Legal Representation
Mr. Dawahare was contracted by my brother for a family matter, that is how I became associated with him. He was very good working with my brother who has a disability. He was kind and patient with my brother which gained a lot of respect from me. He always promptly answered or returned phone calls, was helpful and always answered questions. I was very pleased the way my brother was represented. He (Mr. Dawahare) is a nice and respectful person, and the matter he was involved with had a very good outcome.

Champion for Kids
Richard worked with our family on a sensitive and extensive family court case. Richard checked and rechecked information, made every contact on time, kept his communications with all parties neutral and professional, was in court for each hearing without delay, and was a champion for my child. When he handed over his business card it was not for me, but for my child to keep in case it was ever needed in the future. This small gesture was empowering and endearing at the same time. I cannot say enough about the work Richard did and how he pulled answers from years of paperwork and files is still a mystery to me. Our family will be forever grateful to Richard for his commitment to our case and most importantly to the young person that will never forget him.

Excellent Service
Richard has helped us with two adoptions. One adoption was for my step daughter and the other for two foster children. Richard is such a kind and genuine man, and always eager to get what you need taken care of. Not only did he keep us informed, but also helped to guide us in what we needed to do next. He managed to get our paperwork completed promptly and was always ready for the next step. He was extremely flexible with the meetings, locations, and appointment times. The process moved along smoothly and was completed quicker than the state said they generally take! I'm very proud to have Richard Dawahare as my lawyer and would recommend him to anyone. Not only will he get the job done, but you'll see he actually cares!

"I have had the unique opportunity as a Family Court Judge to observe the manner in which Richard Dawahare represents his clients week in and week out in the most challenging matters. Whether he is defending a parent facing life-changing allegations of neglect or abuse, or helping a child in crisis, Richard always goes beyond the call of duty and advocates for his clients with great zeal and determination.. I am constantly amazed at Richard's willingness, for example, to drive several hours to speak personally with a child in order to best promote the best interest of that child in court. Richard is the consummate gentleman with a unique balance of tenacious passion and wise discretion in his work. I am pleased to give him the highest commendation as a lawyer in family court."
