As a partner at Batey Brophy & O'Dea, PLLC, I bring extensive trial attorney experience to the table. My practice focuses on personal injury cases, including serious car, motorcycle, and tractor-trailer accidents. I am dedicated to seeking justice for my injured clients, and many of them inevitably remain friends long after their cases are resolved.
I am passionate about advancing animal law in Kentucky. As a past Chair and active member of the Animal Law Section of the Kentucky Bar Association, I continue to advocate for animal rights in our state. I am also a proud member of the Kentucky Justice Association, and the American, Kentucky, and Louisville Bar Associations.
My academic background includes an LL.M in Animal Law from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College, a J.D. from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, and a BA from Western Kentucky University. During law school, I gained valuable experience working with Churchill Downs, Inc. in their legal/compliance department and the U.S. Internal Revenue Service Small Business/Self-Employed Division. Before law school, I worked as a case manager with personal injury attorneys, helping injured parties battle insurance companies twenty years ago.
Outside of my legal practice, I enjoy playing pickleball and tending to my backyard vegetable garden. I am married to one of my law partners, Tim O'Dea, and we share our home with two rescued companions, Ozzy and Chop.
