Estate matters

Our family retained Mr. Freeland to assist us in the closing of our father's estate. Along with the necessary documents and court filings, he and his courteous staff provided guidance and advice which were essential to making this a smooth process.

We are grateful to Hale Freeland

Hale Freeland handled my father's estate. Dad had completed his will with Hale years ago and when he died I (as executor) contacted Hale to advise us on selling Dad's property and completing all remaining legal matters. Having a parent die is very difficult of course, and what I learned working with ...Hale is that having an empathetic, knowledgeable and committed attorney to help out makes all the difference in the world. Hale was all that and more. He has been a blessing to our family and we are grateful for his help and support.

Integrity and Fairness

Hale Freeland recently helped me deal with one of life's unfortunate certainties - the death of my mother. As tough as everything was, I was very comforted by the fact that I had someone like Hale to deal with all the business of the estate and probate. Hale is dependable, fair, and always acts wit...h integrity - and you absolutely cannot overstate the value of this. The billing was very reasonable and Hale and his associates at Freeland Martz were always quick to respond to my "dumb questions". I would recommend Hale to anyone thinking of doing estate planning, probate, etc. without hesitation.

Hale Freeland - An Exceptional Attorney

I have known John Hale Freeland for about five years. He has handled two legal issues in Mississippi for my siblings and me. The first case was a dispute regarding a parcel of land that had belonged to our father and mother and of which our uncle had bought our father's portion of the land. Actual...ly, my uncle thought he owned all of the land, but in reality he owned half - the other half belonging to my siblings and me through inheritance from our mother. Our uncle, being convinced he owned the whole parcel, would not acknowledge otherwise. We had to resort to suing him to clear the matter. Since my siblings and I live thousands of miles from Mississippi, we looked at Martindale and chose Jphn Hale Freeland. Over the past years, we have thanked our lucky stars that we chose Mr. Freeland, and all three siblings feel that Mr. Freeland is "our hero". Over the two year span of this case, Mr. Freeland demonstrated his skills multiple times in multiple ways. His research for our case was thorough, accurate, and impeccable, and his interpretation of all the research was logical, methodical, and accurate. I really appreciated his logical thinking skills since I am an educator and logical thinking is one of the content areas in my classes, His solutions for the problems as they arose were reasonable, fair to all concerned, and were always absolutely honest and followed the law. In addition, his demeanor when obtaining a deposition from our uncle, who was quite difficult sometimes, was respectful and considerate. We really admired and appreciated that. Mr Freeland kept us informed every step of the way. In the end, we won our case and could feel that it was equitable, just, and had been done with dignity and honor throughout. At the present time, Mr. Freeland is our representative as heirs for an estate in Mississippi. Even though we are still thousands of miles away, we have no worries or concerns about our rights and obligations. We are confident that Mr. Freeland has everything in hand. Mr. Freeland has always been absolutely far above the average about communicating with my siblings and me and has been very accessible to us. I have the highest esteem and regard for Mr. Freeland, as do my siblings. I would not hesitate to recommend him and his law offices to anyone. Mr. Freeland is indeed a credit to his profession.
