also known as Psonya C. Wilson
Psonya Hackett has been a practicing attorney for more than 17 years, and is licensed to practice in State and Federal Courts in both Mississippi and Tennessee.
Psonya graduated from Tougaloo College with an undergraduate degree in Political Science, then from the University of Mississippi Law Center. Additionally, Attorney Hackett earned an M.B.A. from the Keller Graduate School of Management.
Originally from Moss Point, Mississippi, the attorney began her private practice on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in 1999. After practicing in Chancery and Juvenile Courts there, Psonya went to practice for the Justices on the Mississippi Supreme Court from 2005 - 2012. Psonya returned to private practice and opened the Hackett Law Firm upon being married and relocating to Memphis in 2012.
Personally, Psonya is married to Retired Senior Chief Timothy Hackett, and is the very proud mom of Aidan. Psonya is also a member of the Lifechurch of Memphis.
When asked why she chose to focus on family and child welfare law, Attorney Hackett responded "It was a no-brainer. I love kids, and I relate to people. I never even thought about doing anything else."

Paid 300 for a 6 minute consult. Documents were provided to her prior to it and she never review it. Quoted more money to have someone else review it and I quote "possibly make minor changes."

I hired Psonya Hackett to handle my custody case. Ms. Hackett is very knowledgeable however once she got my check she was no longer responsive. I paid her on 5/14/19 and at that time she told me that the best way to contact her was via a site called my case and the site is free. She also told me that...
"Sonya is my go to lawyer in Memphis for all family law matters. She's smart and does a great job representing her clients."
"Psonya is a wonderful lawyer. She has the legal expertise to effectively advocate for her clients in difficult situations, and she has the wisdom to guide her clients toward fair settlements outside of litigation whenever possible. She is an outstanding advocate for both children and parents. She also identified a need in our community for a better way to provide supervised parenting time and founded a non profit organization to provide safe supervision for children and parents that can take place in fun settings like parks, the zoo, or other locations where children can have a much more positive experience. I offer my highest endorsement of Psonya."
