“I came to Rice, Amundsen & Caperton, PLLC for my divorce last year. Mr. Rice is a very nice man. He is knowledgable and loves helping people. Erin spent a long time discussing my situation with me and helped me to understand. They worked closely with me to help me understand everything that was going on in my case and were readily available to answer any questions that I had. I really appreciate all their hard work and I would highly recommend Rice Law to anyone looking for legal advice!” -
While I do not recommend getting into litigation against Ms. O'dea, I do recommend having her on your legal team if you are in a domestic dispute of any kind. She asserts her client's position in a well-reasoned thoughtful way in settlement discussions, but is not afraid to get into a legal battle if that serves her client's best interest. There are few attorneys I have had the pleasure of litigating against that are as prepared as she is when she enters the court. She is zealous and driven in her quest to get the best outcome for her clients and it is something I personally admire about her. Having been mentored by the Rice men, I can guarantee she will always be prepared and ready for any scenario that may play out in court. If I ever get married --- and then need a divorce, this is the attorney I would hire to represent me.
ERIN O’DEA graduated from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in Memphis, Tennessee in 2011. Prior to her legal education, Ms. O’Dea graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 2005. She received the Dean’s Distinguished Service Award in 2010 and 2011 for her involvement with the Student Bar Association’s Race Judicata. She was elected Student Bar Governor during her second year of law school, and began to serve as co-chair for the Race Committee. Ms. O’Dea was then chosen by the faculty to serve on the Leadership Council, which was created to develop an honor code for the law school. She began clerking at Rice, Amundsen & Caperton, PLLC in April 2010. Ms. O’Dea was hired on as an associate after she graduated and has continued to grow and flourish as a young associate in the field of family law. Erin was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in November 2011 and is a member of the Tennessee and Memphis Bar Associations.

"I endorse this lawyer. Erin is a very capable attorney and is particularly knowledgeable about family law. She spends a great deal of time with her clients and works very hard to answer their questions and meet their objectives. Her experience and training make her well-equipped to handle a variety of legal issues and her hard-work, intelligence and attention to detail are sure to get the job done. I strongly recommend her services."
