I am a proud native born Tennessean and I am the third generation to live on my family’s farm. My roots trace back to my ancestor and the first governor of the state of Tennessee, John Sevier. While at the University of Tennessee College of Law, I concentrated my studies on advocacy and dispute resolution. Prior to law school, I worked as an agent with Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee. I understand the importance of communication, honesty, hard work, determination, and treating people the way you would want to be treated. I am honored to serve the legal needs of individuals and companies with interests in Tennessee throughout Tennessee.

Thank you Matt!

Matt's quiet confidence and calm demeanor over the phone immediately disarmed me from the stress and emotional drain that I had been carrying for a year with this issue. Matt listened carefully to my stressful rambling and in minute...

Matthew was a great help for me and my family
Matthew did a wonderful job of knowing the law and procedures for the case of conservatorship for my sister. He was knowledgeable and kind throughout this process. The presentation to the judge went very well, and the process was completed with no problems.
"Matt has a passion for helping his clients with their sensitive estate planning needs. His attention to detail and ability to identify issues is an asset to all of his clients. Matt has an excellent mind, great demeanor, and exhibits a high level of legal ability in his practice areas. I recommend Matt as an excellent value for skilled legal services."
"Matthew McClanahan should be everyone's go-to lawyer for misbehaving family pets and farm animals. He has literally saved the lives of pets who otherwise would have been forced to be put down (including one naughty dog who decided to bite a judge). Matthew is also a cattle farmer himself, so he deeply understands and respects the needs of farmers who have wandering farm animals that might destroy the property of others. Choose Matt as your animal law attorney, and he won't let you down."
"I endorse this lawyer. I have had the pleasure of knowing Matt and in that time, I found him to be a professional and knowledgably attorney. In fact, I have referred Will and Estate cases to him recently. It is a pleasure to endorse Matthew McClanahan."
"Matt was a thorough professional. He answered all my questions quickly and knowledgeably and is one of the clearest communicators I’ve ever worked for!"

"Matt is a skilled professional advocate for his clients. You would make the right choice in hiring Matt to help in any legal endeavor you may be faced with."
"Attorney Matthew McClanahan is a dedicated attorney who zealously advocates for his clients. Moreover, I can personally attest that Matthew is honest attorney who cares about his clients' causes as if they were his own. If you need an attorney, I would strongly recommend seeking Matt's services."
"Matthew is a dedicated and sharp young attorney. I have referred potential clients to him when I think he may be able to better serve their needs."
"I've known Matthew for over 10 years. He is dedicated to his work, cares about the people he serves, and is a person of integrity."
"Matthew McClanahan is an excellent lawyer that seeks the best result for each and every client. His passion helps him win, and his compassion shows each client that they are the most important person in the room."
"I’ve known Matt McClanahan for years. As an attorney, community leader, and friend, he is of the highest order and caliber. He has my highest endorsement."
"I am proud to have had Mr. McClanahan as a colleague for a number of years now. Perhaps the highest praise I could give an attorney is that I trust their skills, expertise, and integrity enough to refer family and friends to that attorney, which I do without hesitation for Mr. McClanahan."
"Matt is an outstanding advocate who has a commanding presence in the courtroom that results in his clients receiving very favorable results. Matt is a dilligent and passionate attorney who will insure that you are satisfied with his services and the result of your case. He truly cares about the people that he represents and I cannot stress enough that you will be glad that you decided to hire Matt as your attorney."
"I have known Matt for a couple of years now and I strongly endorse his abilities as a zealous advocate for his clients' rights. Matt has impeccable character and the intellect to handle any legal issue thrown his way. He is simply top notch. If you have estate planning, probate, or business issues, then Matt is your guy!"
"Matthew and I have worked together on a contentious probate matter, and I found him to be a highly professional and capable attorney. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who needs strong representation in litigation. Matthew practices with an excellent firm, and I endorse him no reservations whatsoever."
