A HIGHLY EDUCATED FRIEND, WISE CONFIDANT AND FIERCE ADVOCATE

When new clients arrive at my office, they are sometimes hopeless.  They have heard horror stories about the legal system.  Part of my job is restoring hope and convincing clients that the system is not going to eat them alive.  I am fond of telling clients when they first walk into my office that I'm sorry they are here.  I understand that most people would prefer to lead lawyer-free lives.  My middle name is Earl and that is what my friends call me and that is what I want my clients to call me.  If you want to hire me and I think enough of you and your case to accept the representation, I will be your highly educated friend, wise confidant and fierce advocate who will fight for your full recovery or vindication.

My practice consists mostly of the following types of cases:  Personal Injuries, Divorce, Child Custody, and Criminal Defense.

PERSONAL INJURY:  As a first year law student, I went to work for a law firm  preparing personal injury cases for trial. During my last year of law school, I accepted employment with State Auto Insurance as a Claims Adjuster...in many ways, the exact opposite role!  I did this because I wanted to know how both sides of a personal injury case worked and thought.  Since then, I have dedicated a substantial portion of my career to keeping abreast of personal injury law and trial strategies for people who have been hurt in car, truck and motorcycle accidents.  I'm sorry you've been hurt and I will do everything I can to make it right.  I love fighting for clients I believe in.

DIVORCE AND CHILD CUSTODY: I am a 49 year old father of four kids...11, 13,18 and 21.   I am divorced from the mother of my oldest two kids.  I am not particularly proud of that, but I am not ashamed of it either.  I understand that marriage is unbelievably difficult in even the best of circumstances.   My oldest kids were about 2 and 5 when the divorce occurred.  By that time in my career, I had successfully tried a number of divorces, but in retrospect, going through my own probably taught me the most about this area of the law.  I empathize with my clients because I know what's at stake. I am now happily married to the mother of my youngest two and am proof that rainbows sometimes do follow rain.  Chances are that no matter how unique your own circumstance is, if I have not seen it before in a case I have tried, I have lived through it personally.  I have the knowledge and experience that can help you through it too.

CRIMINAL DEFENSE:  What can I say?  I went to college!  I have always cheered for the little guy...the underdog. Make no mistake about it... in a criminal prosecution, the Defendant is the underdog.  The government has a full staff of lawyers who sometimes believe the police can do no wrong  and that the word "defendant" is equivalent to the word "criminal".  Every criminal defendant needs a champion with the heart of a teacher...to teach the government the difference. DUI convictions have devastating consequences and you cannot afford NOT to have an experienced lawyer in your corner when facing such charges.  I can, and will, help.

Very professional and a great listener!
I contacted Mr. Patton to ask some questions about an order I felt uneasy about. After meeting with Mr. Patton I felt better about a situation that could have been ugly. I could tell he genuinely cared and showed an honest concern. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend Mr. Patton.

Our knight in shining armor!
When my husband and I learned of his ex-wife's habit of doing drugs in front of their children we were horrified and had no idea what to do. On the recommendation of a friend we contacted Earl who took a heartfelt approach to our case and helped us immensely. He was very honest and straightforward and it was clear that he really cared about us and the well-being of our children. It was very long but very rewarding, in June of 2017 I adopted my step-children and they will never again be exposed to drugs and domestic violence as they were in their biological mothers homes, plural as she was constantly living with different men. We have Earl Patton solely to thank for that and nothing I could ever do could show how grateful I am for that. I 100% recommend Earl for any situation you may have, it is clear that he is in it to help you out and not just to demolish your bank account as I have come across with other lawyers. Earl is a wonderful honest man, one in a million for sure.

What a worker!
George Earl fought my divorce for me. He most definitely pays attention to your case and what the DA is saying. He pointed out all the flaws to the DA that they were bringing against me. Walked out of courtroom happier then I walked in. Don't understand why people hate lawyers. George Earl will make you love your lawyer. Thanks, Earl, for everything you've done for me.

Confidence during a stressful event
I, as many of us have, made the mistake of driving after having a few beers watching a band. Mr. Patton was successful in having my charges decreased to reckless driving vs. DUI. I am very thankful for his commitment to me as his client, his professionalism and tenacity.

The Right Lawyer
I knew when I sat down with Mr. Patton the first time that he was the right lawyer for me. As my case progressed, he was encouraging, frank, patient, considerate, diligent, and resourceful. He had a keen sense of when to be patient and when to push ahead. My case was dismissed. In the hands of another lawyer, I’m not so sure it would have turned out that way. “Earl” is easy to talk with, clear about the process, and happy to deliver results. I could not recommend any other attorney any higher.

Earl Patton serves Cumberland County with integrity
On three separate cases I have acquired the services of Earl Patton and every time I understood cost , the exact process , and the outcome was in favor with out fail. In one case he sent me a refund of $20.00 , I was shocked first of all so I called to thank him and I have used his services ever since.

Best lawyer ever
Very professional, well dressed, articulate, really cares about his clients-exactly what you want in a lawyer. He helped my daughter when an apartment complex was asking her for money in addition to what was in the lease. He had it handled very quickly and efficiently.
