Outstanding Attorney! Would highly recommend!
Mr Arthur has assisted me over the past few years on issues regarding custody and other family matters. I have always found him to be easily accessible and ready with answers, petitons filed, and dates set. I couldnt have asked for a lawyer who was more well prepared, patient about explaining things ...

A Lawyer and Friend
Jay took the time to get to know me and my case. Not only did he know how to help me with my legal needs, he became a friend when I needed help putting my life back together after my divorce. He didn't charge me any more than what I was quoted by other lawyers when I was calling around trying to dec...

Truely believe I wouldn't have got what I did without him.
I have used Jason on and off for about 2yrs now concerning a custody case. Even though Jason is a little pricey (mind you he is licensed in VA and TN), I will not use anyone else concerning this case. I have had different lawyers in the past and had good experiences with them all but Jason is the mos...
"I endorse Jay Arthur. Mr. Arthur is a very zealous advocate for his clients in court. He manages to balance that with a calm demeanor when consulting with clients. I would hire him for any family law issue."
"I was involved with Mr. Arthur as opposing counsel in an Order of Protection case. Despite the awkwardness that often results between opposing parties in cases of this type, Mr. Arthur was profession to work with at all times, and ultimately was able to work out a creative solution that met both parties' needs without requiring them to endure a difficult hearing process. I would happily recommmend Mr. Arthur to anyone seeking an attorney for any area in which he practices."
"Jay Arthur is a top-notch lawyer. Possibly one of the Tri-Cities best kept secrets. Mr. Arthur is quick to respond, knowledgeable and helpful. In the Courtroom he is courteous and well-respected by Judges, Other Attorneys and the Community. I highly recommend Jay Arthur for your needs."
"Mr. Arthur is a fellow lawyer in the community, and we were opposing counsel on a matter within the past year. When we were opposing counsel, he was always well-prepared, and he promptly returned phone calls. He has considerable courtroom experience, and he is a strong advocate. I have seen him firsthand achieve highly favorable and winning results for his clients. I gladly endorse this lawyer."
"I have enjoyed working on matters with Mr. Arthur as well as observe him in the legal community. I have known him to be a zealous and ethical advocate for his clients. He is an effective, articulate lawyer, who diligently returns phone calls, emails and letters. I regularly refer cases to him and I endorse this lawyer."

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2009.
Reciprocal - Suspension issued in VA, 2009
updated on 09/21/2014This means that the attorney's misconduct in another state, or jurisdiction, also violated the rules for practicing law in Virginia.
“See above response please.”
Suspension issued in TN, 2008
updated on 02/20/2017Suspended means an attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. The attorney typically returns to practicing law when the suspension expires.
“The complaint filed was from a former attorney/employer and NOT a client. My discipline resulted in no interruption in my ability to practice law in TN or VA. The "suspended" time was not ordered and my license was never inactive. The employer filed the same complaint in VA that he did in TN and the discipline was the same. The attorney that filed this complaint has a history of doing this to other attorneys in the Tri-Cities. I was the 3rd of what are now 8 such complaints.”
